Furthermore, since this is a characteristic of Dharma Lord Drukpa (chos rje 'brug pa), one should cultivate the path through reversal meditation (zlog sgom). Without seeking other methods, transform the mind with the determination to die for the Dharma, accepting whatever comes. Go forward no matter what, even if it means going to hell right now. Cut off any thought of expecting help, and hope for an even stronger adverse condition, because only then can true certainty be attained. If virtuous deeds are mixed with other factors, the goal cannot be achieved. No matter what stage one is at, prolonged meditation is of no help. Past accomplished ones have all resolutely cut off all paths with unwavering perseverance and diligence. Therefore, I, this beggar, also think that this time, on this adverse condition, I will sever the boundary between samsara and nirvana. One should contemplate the appearance of adversity as if erecting a mountain upon it. The Dharma Lord said, 'The boundary between Dharma and the mundane is distinguished by adverse conditions; do not be a coward without resolve.' The *Two Examinations Tantra* (brtag gnyis) says, 'This reversal meditation is not understood by Buddhas or heretics.' Third, in conjunction with Mahamudra (phyag rgya chen mo), the key to the interdependent origination of bliss and emptiness united (bde stong kha sbyor) is that the very nature of mind, which constantly arises in the minds of beings and is never interrupted, is the unsurpassed, unchangeable great bliss. It is not merely emptiness, but the very essence of the union of the two (zung 'jug) of clear light ('od gsal) that manifests in all forms. Experiencing this essence is called abiding in vajra-like samadhi (rdo rje lta bu'i ting nge 'dzin). The *Compendium of Trainings* (spyod bsdus) says, 'Rising from the absence of appearance, abiding in the union of the two, gradually accomplishing the deeds of a Buddha, abiding adorned with all qualities through vajra-like samadhi.' These three points are also the meaning of 'training in the cessation of separate examination (so sor brtags pa'i 'gog pa)' as stated in *The Secret Essence* (gsang ba yid dag). The interdependent origination of the ultimate fruition, arising from suchness (ji lta ba) as all that appears (ji snyed pa) Third, the interdependent origination of the ultimate fruition, arising from suchness as all that appears, is: becoming one with the realm of the Buddhas. The sutra says, 'From the true limit, the vajra-holder (rdo rje can) of selflessness, the wheel of the crown protuberance (gtsug tor gyi 'khor lo), all winds become the nature of great bliss, the central channel wind makes it self-experienced, with indestructible sound, free from elaboration and characteristics.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All concepts are liberated, and all channels are purified in the central channel (dhyūti) by being controlled by the unchanging bindu. The body, like a reflection in a mirror, appears unobstructed in all things. As the 'Vajrasattva-mirror' says: 'It is clear and pure, without any impurities. The lord of all Buddhas is oneself.' Furthermore, the 'Collected from All Thoughts' (rtog pa kun las btus pa) says: 'When the pure mind is grasped, and the vajra body is contemplated, a firm and non-empty body is obtained, and thus the vajra body will be attained.' Thus, by attaining the body of union, one's own benefit reaches its ultimate end, and the benefit of others reaches its perfection, appearing without distinction in all times and places, becoming one. In short, all temporary obscurations are fundamentally eliminated, and all completely purified qualities are manifested, becoming the nature of enlightenment, an inexhaustible treasure of all worldly and transworldly perfections, thereby attaining the siddhi of Mahāmudrā. As the 'Summary of Empowerment' (dbang mdor bstan) says: 'Form will not appear in samsara, it will not go to the unchanging nirvana. Mutual embrace is peace, this is the supreme state of the neuter.' Thus, this teaching called 'Extracting the Essence of Dependent Origination' is a note written by White Lotus (Padma dkar po), may it become the essence for those who desire liberation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
