To be in accordance with the scriptures is explained from the negative perspective, and to be in accordance with the tantric path is explained from the affirmative perspective. Both are explained through imputation, but if one were to express the truth as it is, even the perfectly enlightened Buddha would find words lacking. As it is said: 'The great bliss king of beings, free from causes, constantly arises. Whenever one tries to describe him, the all-knowing one becomes impoverished in words.' Also, in the 'Doha Treasury' it says: 'The innate nature cannot be depicted by anyone.' If one understands the essence of this principle, then arguing about the goodness or badness of views is meaningless. Until one realizes the true nature, everything is merely mental fabrication and cannot be relied upon. Once one realizes the true nature, there can be no disagreement in meaning, only in words. If one wishes to establish the view as it is, then one must realize it directly, hence the saying that view and realization are related. It is also said that the distinction is that realization arises from within, without relying on scripture or reason, which is extremely important. Therefore, this yoga of non-elaboration is because the consciousness of the subject is determined to be unreal, so naturally, the object appears as illusory from being truly established. Therefore, this vipassanā (insight meditation) is characterized by being free from the thoughts of grasping and being grasped, and is therefore explained as the yoga of non-elaboration. As the Victorious One said: 'I have found a profound, peaceful, non-elaborate, luminous, uncompounded Dharma, like nectar. But no matter to whom I show it, they will not be able to understand, so I will remain silent and dwell in the forest.' (3) Recognizing the way the mind abides in appearances, and understanding the way appearances arise in the mind, is called the bridge between appearance and mind, which is the realization of the nature of one taste. When all appearances are merely appearances, realizing that they are the nature of mind is called recognizing the way the mind abides in appearances. And the radiance of mind itself appearing in all forms is called understanding the way appearances arise in the mind. The former is many merging into one taste, and the latter is one taste appearing as many. As it is said in the 'Doha Treasury': 'All these three realms are transformed into a great desire.' Or: 'As long as they arise from the mind, they are the nature of the Protector Are water and waves different?' What is appearance during the practice of non-elaboration? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Are all things understood as the nature of mind? Not understood. If understood, then there is no difference from the taste of practice. If appearances are recognized as mind and made into a characteristic of the same taste, what is the need? If not understood, then not understanding that all dharmas are without inherent existence, how can it become a characteristic of freedom from elaboration? If you think so, that is indeed true. At the time of freedom from elaboration, all the thoughts that grasp onto dharmas from form (Sanskrit: rūpa) to omniscient wisdom (Sanskrit: sarvākārajñāna) are definitively without inherent existence. Therefore, all dharmas are established as being without inherent existence. When the appearance of objects does not arise as meditation, due to the force of clinging to objects, objects appear as truly existent, and then appear like illusions. Appearances are recognized as mind. Objects do not remain outside. Appearances are known as the form of mind, so the mind does not remain inside. At that time, the appearance of objects and the mind become one taste, or appearances arise as meditation. At that time, one can do anything with appearances, such as walking through walls and mountains without obstruction. This is called the mixing of appearance and mind. Other mixing of appearance and mind is not like mixing salt and water. As Śavarī Dwangchuk said, 'If you realize your own mind, that is Mahāmudrā; however appearances arise, they are not separate from your own mind.' He also said, 'If you become realized, everything is it; no one can find anything else.' He also said, 'Merely appearing, nothing is established at that moment. Not established anywhere, merely appearing, this is the union of appearance and emptiness, or the co-emergent of appearance and emptiness. Objects are great bliss, the object-possessor is emptiness endowed with all aspects, and the union of bliss and emptiness, or co-emergent. Radiance or power arises as an illusory body, this is conventional truth. The essence or nature, clear light, is immovable, this is ultimate truth. These two can never be distinguished, this is the meaning of union, that is, the union or inseparability of the two truths. In the state of emptiness without characteristics, learning white dharmas such as generosity is known as the union of method and wisdom. Furthermore, Kagyu Rinpoche said: In the sutra 'Teaching the Absence of Arising of All Dharmas,' it is said, 'All dharmas are the nature of desire.' This means that desire is said to be the state of nirvāṇa. Hatred and delusion are the same, bodhi is their very nature.' And 'There is no difference between bodhi and desire.' And so on, following these teachings, the various thoughts that cling from form to omniscient wisdom... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
