Do not do. Even if the previous vows are complete, they do not arise from being at home. Householders are like dwelling in mud, prisons, or fire pits. Renunciation is the opposite of that, like dwelling in dry land, comfort, and coolness, there is such a difference. Not only that, the greatest benefit of renunciation is that all Buddhas renounce from home to homelessness. Only through that basis do they attain complete enlightenment, and know that no one becomes a Buddha while remaining at home. Therefore, you are very fortunate to renounce. Renunciation requires a Khenpo (preceptor). The term Khenpo is derived from the word 'Upadhyaya' (Sanskrit), meaning 'to draw near, to join, to guide,' hence it is called Khenpo. First, express to the previous teacher of lay vows the intention to request him as the Khenpo for ordination, and prostrate three times. Then, have him sit as before, and inform the teacher. If it is not the previous teacher, inform a monk, saying, 'I, named..., request the teacher to be my Khenpo. Please be my Khenpo. Please ordain me.' Repeat twice. If he says nothing the third time, it indicates that he has agreed to be the Khenpo, and thus becomes the Khenpo. As it is said in the scriptures: 'When the request for a Khenpo is granted, he becomes the Khenpo.' Therefore, it is necessary to repeatedly say 'Khenpo, Khenpo,' and keep it in mind, repeating after the third time. Finally, say 'Well done.' Then the Khenpo will say to another Bhikshu: 'Please help with the tonsure.' The left hand holds the vase and razor, and the right hand makes the gesture of giving, placing it on the crown of the head of the one being ordained, asking from the front: 'Are you willing to be tonsured?' If he answers 'Willing,' then shave from the back. Then offer the hair to the Khenpo, who scatters it in the direction of the Jewels. If he says unwilling, he is sent away without being ordained. Then bathe, if it is the whole body, or if old, sick, or without water, perform the five-limb bath. After having him bathe, prostrate three times. Prepare the three Dharma robes, have him sit cross-legged, or drape the robe over the left shoulder, with the left hand upturned, placing the lower garment on it. Then cover it with the right hand. The Khenpo also places their hands together in the same way, and then says: 'This Dharma robe is called the lower garment, which you should wear on the lower body to cover the private parts.' This Dharma robe is called the upper garment, which you should wear on the upper body to protect the body from cold and sunlight. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Because this is the robe to evoke the memory of a monk, you must hold such an upper garment for as long as you live and do not separate from it.' If there is one thing to be accomplished, say 'you'; if there are two, say 'you two'; if there are three, say 'you all'. Know that this applies to all the following situations. Similarly, for the lower garment, 'This Dharma garment called the lower garment is to be worn by you on your lower body to protect the lower body from the shame of nakedness and from the touch of wind and sun.' 'Because this is the robe to evoke the memory of a monk, you must also hold such a lower garment for as long as you live and do not separate from it.' Then the mat, 'This Dharma garment called the mat, in the great commentary on the Vinaya of the householders, except for the individual's colorful mattress and the oldest householder's mattress', white, 'except for the individual's colorful mattress and the Sangha's grass mat, one must be protected by this dwelling and enjoy it.' This indicates that after you are ordained, you should not steal the property of others, nor should you be greedy for small gains. Then give the alms bowl, 'This is the bowl of the householder, the begging bowl of the heretics, to protect the signs from the inferior ordained ones, you must hold such a bowl after you are ordained.' 'Since food is enjoyed from here, after ordination, one must not sit idly, but must diligently study, listen, think, and meditate.' Give the water strainer, 'This is called the water strainer, water is closely related to life.' 'In the morning and evening, check whether there are creatures in the water, and if there are, use it to protect and enjoy it.' This indicates that after ordination, one must abandon all harm to others.' Because, 'Harming others after ordination, and inflicting violence on others, are not the actions of a monk.' Therefore it is said. Please give a prayer to all the workers. May the victory banner of liberation endure. These prayers are recited when wearing the robe, as explained in the commentary on the ritual of the all-knowing one.' 'It is good to do it, but there is no fault in not doing it', it is also said. May the Brahmacharya be perfected. May the aggregate of morality be completely fulfilled. May you have the good fortune to be born into the lineage of ordination in all lives and lifetimes.' After saying this, put on the robe. If it is necessary to examine the signs, do so.' These are the first things to do, the preliminary ritual of ordination.' The ordination request below, Buton and others consider it as prostration, then you are ordained... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
