I, Ratnasambhava, as a symbol of benefiting beings with compassion, manifest as Amitabha in red. As a symbol of spontaneously accomplishing the benefit of others through the perfection of the four activities, Amoghasiddhi appears in green. Each retinue also sees and understands it in the same way. The hand symbols are explained by their own nature: The Dharmakaya possesses impartial wisdom, hence it is shown as the center of a wheel. The Sambhogakaya possesses non-discriminating wisdom, hence it is shown as the circumference of a wheel. The Nirmanakaya possesses individually discerning wisdom, hence it is shown as the spokes of a wheel (163). As a symbol of this, Vairochana holds a wheel, and the retinue sees this and understands it in the same way. As a symbol of the five bodies of compassion possessing the five wisdoms, the single bindu, Akshobhya holds a five-pronged vajra at his heart. As a symbol of the uninterrupted manifestation of qualities in a jewel-filled vessel, Ratnasambhava holds a radiant jewel at his heart. As a symbol of the Dharmakaya not being defiled by reality and names, and the Rupakaya not being defiled by the karma and habitual tendencies of those to be tamed, Amitabha holds a lotus at his heart. As a symbol of increasing the four directions and accomplishing meaning through the four activities, Amoghasiddhi holds a crossed vajra at his heart. Each retinue sees this and understands it in the same way. The manner of sitting is explained by its own nature: Although the manner of appearance manifests as the five families, as a symbol of the fundamental Dharmakaya being of one taste and undifferentiated in the manner of abiding, the feet are in the vajra posture. (164) Each retinue sees this and understands it in the same way. The bodhisattvas and bodhisattva mothers of the retinue sit in the half-lotus posture, understanding that half of the meaning of the intention manifests as the play of the Dharmakaya. These also come from the Condensed Tantra: The teacher, the source of all families, with wisdom, from the self-luminous radiance of pure nature, draws the unobstructed wisdom mandala. One's self abides as the chief in the center, from one's self, the four teachers are not different, to the retinues of their respective families, without explaining the teachings of speech, they show through the door of the blessing of their own nature. Thus it is said. Also from the Secret Awareness Intention: When explaining the nature of the Sambhogakaya, it is the time when the supreme body is luminous and clear. Thus it is said. Also, at the time of spontaneous self-manifestation, the retinues are not different from oneself.

Yes, because from the skill of the body, the four types of heroes and heroines are each explained from various appearances. The same intention should also be combined with the explanation of essence. When its sound appears as the bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis, other disciples who appear differently should also be explained by their essence from those signs and symbols (165). For both of those, since the sambhogakaya is of the same lineage, it is called the time when the sambhogakaya explains with its own essence. Third, explaining through the excellent combination of words, there are the histories of sentient beings to be tamed and the histories of the nirmanakaya who tames them. First, if there are no sentient beings to be tamed, the tamer, the teacher, will not appear, so the history of sentient beings is explained. In the Garland of Whispered Transmission Teachings, it says: When the victorious ones appear in the world, for the sake of preventing bad external opponents from arising against the great teachings spoken by them, first the history of the world's dharma is told. So it is said. That is, those heretics who argue with wrong views and bad philosophies should be tamed, because leading them into the wrong path itself appears as an object of compassion, so the tamer, the teacher, must show the nectar of the dharma, so it is taught to establish the connection. That is also in the beginning, the basis, before samsara and nirvana were established, the original nature, the purity and clarity that is free from the three subtle and coarse stains that arise in dharmata, like wiping the center of a clear mirror. The inner clarity, possessing five characteristics, abides like a lamp in a vase. The wind of wisdom stirs, and the spontaneously accomplished sound of the wind manifests outward from the space of dharmata, but because it is not recognized as self-appearance, the co-emergent ignorance arises. Because of the imputation of grasping and being grasped, when the imputational ignorance arises, the five lights of self-nature cannot be clarified due to the cause of ignorance. Because of the habituation to the five lights of the image, it is mistaken for outer and inner containers and contents. The outer container, the world, appears like foam forming on the ocean or skin forming on yogurt, as Mount Meru, the four continents, and subcontinents. The inner content is divided into two: that which is not grasped by consciousness and that which is grasped. The ungrasped is the essence of the container condensed into the content, growing into grasses, trees, forests, medicinal flowers, crops, and fruits. Especially, the essence of the elements is the egg of the five lights and the udumbara flower, the place of the teacher's birth.
