Ah, remembering the kindness, I stayed in front of the relics for eleven days, praying continuously, and a strong sense of renunciation and sorrow arose. Thinking of going to places like the upper peak or Lhomon to increase virtuous deeds, and through asceticism and essence extraction, taking many things to a place with good water and good land (603). Coincidentally, many Dharma friends said they were going to Lhomon, so I discussed with them to eat up all the odds and ends together, do virtuous deeds together, and share whatever happiness or sorrow might arise, and then we set off. When we arrived in Lhomon, we deviated slightly from the desire to practice single-mindedly, and some Dharma friends went only for wealth. For a while, we did things like reciting scriptures and performing rituals. That winter, I stayed alone on a rock called Bumthang Gyalekhar, just practicing. After that, I went to a place called Salong in western Lhomon, and the forest devotees there said, "It's Guru Lama Zangpo," so I became known by the name Guru. At that time, many offerings were made for the good of the living, such as horses, leopards, barley, and rice. Because I heard the news that the venerable Kunkhyen Lama was coming to Bumthang, I wanted to go and see him. The people of western Lhomon (604) also increased their merit and virtue, and my faith and enthusiasm did not diminish, so I went to Salong. There was great conflict in that place, and the people's behavior was very rough, and there was nothing else. When I went to see the Dharma Lord, the Dharma Lord said, "Is there a fierce war in this place?" I replied, "There is civil war." And I requested, "We will hold (a Dharma assembly) on the eleventh, please have compassion and accept us." The Dharma Lord said, "There is great turmoil in this place, and there is a danger of conflict if too many people gather." So I went to the village chiefs and had them guarantee that there would be no conflict. And I said to them, "Bring all your offerings." They said, "Okay." In this way, as before, I restrained the people, and then held the tenth day (Dasha) in a large black house called Dam Lhakhang, performed those services, and used the three-circle pure (605) items.

He pleased him by offering these. All the men and women of that country gathered and offered countless offerings such as horses, gold, turquoise, silk, cloth, rice, barley, etc. There was no fighting that day, and he placed beings on the path of liberation. At that time, he said, "Please come outside." When he went to Mönmenlok Kunzangling, he gave the teachings of the Nyingthik. He gave the four empowerments with detailed rituals to a very large number of disciples. He placed the teachings, subsequent permissions, etc., in their hearts and gave them. The Dharma Lord established a small monastery called Orgyanling and said, "Stay here." But he did not listen and stayed for a year. When he went to Bumthang, he said, "It is not appropriate to stay here either." From then on, I followed him and served him with body, speech, and mind without any reservation. As the invitations from Tibet came one after another, (606) to serve him in Tibet, I followed him like body and shadow. He completely gave me the key points of empowerment and teachings, including profound and vast instructions, as well as general and specific key points. After that, he went to Drigung. He pleased the temple of Zhaba Pema Wangchen with offerings such as white head ornaments. At that time, he had a minor illness, so he also wrote documents such as wills. When he said he was going to Chimphu, he went to Chimphu in the autumn. A very large number of disciples gathered, and when the teachings reached their climax, the Dharma Lord himself demonstrated the appearance of merging into the primordial realm. After that, the funeral ceremony was performed. The remaining parts of the teachings, as well as the external offerings, internal offerings, and the monthly sacrifices, etc., were performed. In the sacred place of Chimphu Rinpoche, he vowed to keep the vows of mountain dwelling, thinking to please the lama with the offerings of practice. The lama's (607) activities were completely pure, and due to the pure power of past karma and aspirations, sometimes, according to the tradition of the Dharma Lord, for the benefit of others, he would give some teachings to students who were interested. Sometimes he would also do a year of practice for his own benefit. In these intervals, he did not spend his time idly or lazily, but in the presence of the Lord of Dharma, the holy Gyaltsen Dampa Khon Sakyapa, the protector of beings, Sonam Gyaltsenpa.
