Having abandoned the "one discarding, one returning" (128), count in units of one day and one night. By not being distracted elsewhere, the occurrence of discursive thoughts will decrease, and similarly, the number of breaths will also decrease and cease. When only 10,000 breaths occur in one day and night, exhale slowly and leisurely, and when inhaling, fill the abdomen completely. By doing so, the breath will decrease by twelve and twelve each time, whether day or night. By meditating in this way repeatedly, eventually the movement of breath will cease, and awareness will remain focused on where it is directed. Abiding in non-conceptual samadhi is the measure of accomplishment. When karmic winds are exhausted, discursive thoughts are exhausted; when thoughts are exhausted, appearances are exhausted; one constantly abides in the state of non-conceptual wisdom. At that time, one can walk in the sky, not sink in water, sit in lotus posture on the tip of a reed, fit the body into the eye of a needle, and many other miraculous powers and clairvoyance will arise. At that time, if awareness is distracted and dull, sometimes the channels will fall asleep and become blocked, and one will abide in the state of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality. Second, (129) training in the movement of breath: Meditate on a very clear red "Ah" (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:Ah) in the heart. When the breath goes out, from that "Ah" one "Ah" arises, then two arise, until twenty-one, extending outwards, visualizing them standing upright, about an arm's length or so. Exhale as much breath as possible. When inhaling, one "Ah" merges into one "Ah", returning to the root "Ah", hold the breath inside as much as possible. After seven days, the body will become light, speech will become clear, and non-conceptual samadhi will arise in the mind. Then, the sign of the body not being born is the feeling of being able to walk in the sky; the sign of speech not being born is that all speech becomes blessings; the sign of the mind not being born is that thoughts, ideas, scattering, and gathering of concepts naturally cease. Third, training in the shape of breath: Focus the mind on a bindu at the brow center, where breath and mind are combined, round, white, and clear, like a crystal ball. When the breath goes out, visualize the bindu and the body also extending outwards, and the mind also like (130) a mist in the sky, empty, clear, and dissolving. When inhaling, visualize that bindu slowly coming back and staying on the forehead. When it is very cold, that bindu

Meditate on oneself as being hot, and when it is hot, focus on coolness, thereby balancing the elements. By meditating in this way, the external signs are that one does not feel the presence of the body, insects and other creatures do not appear, and the mind is not distracted by other appearances. The internal sign is that all kinds of diseases will be pacified. The secret sign is that when the bindu dissolves, one visualizes the body also dissolving, and the actual body will also become noble, and whether one meditates on heat or cold, diseases will be pacified, one will not need to wear clothes, and virtues such as dust not appearing in hot places will definitely arise. Fourth, learning the color of the wind: In the navel, visualize a skull that is white on the outside and red on the inside, and inside it, a turquoise vajra the size of a pea. When the wind goes out, visualize the vajra also extending outwards, becoming very long. When inhaling, visualize it returning to its original position. Compared to the previous signs, the special thing is that when the wind goes out, one feels that consciousness is clear, like a feather being lifted by the wind; when inhaling, one feels that there is a real vajra in the abdomen, feels uncomfortable, does not need food, and can abide in samadhi day and night. Fifth, the instructions for putting the wind into a vase: In the navel, think of a blue-green "ཧ" (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, Literal Chinese meaning: ha), and hold the breath with the mouth closed, so that the abdomen is filled with blue-green air. When the air goes out, visualize the blue-green air disappearing into the sky like smoke, and the mind also disappearing with it, then inhale and hold the breath. In this way, the body can be freed from the bondage of food, the mind can be freed from the bondage of bliss and emptiness, and awareness can be freed from the bondage of discursive thoughts. That is to say, visualize the inner air disappearing like smoke, and all the outer sky turning blue-green and entering oneself. By doing this, one can have longevity, be free from disease, and be liberated from all outflows. The third part, about the aftermath: It includes three aspects: eliminating obstacles, observing death, and liberating from it. First, if one is drowsy, recite a lot of "ཧ" (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, Literal Chinese meaning: ha) and "ཕཊ" (Tibetan, Devanagari: फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: phat). If one is scattered, hold the breath inside and practice living in a dark room. When one is in a bad mood or the elements are imbalanced, forcefully exhale the breath in layers, reciting "ཧ" (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, Literal Chinese meaning: ha), clamp the armpits with the elbows, and then strike the chest with outstretched fists to eliminate it. When faith and samadhi arise, hold the breath inside. The breath rushes to the top of the head, consciousness changes, rashes appear on the body, spots appear on the skin, and sometimes the mind becomes dull.
