And may the one who has become a companion bring you happiness and auspiciousness. May the one who has realized all phenomena, who is pure and without defilement, and who has purified the three, bring you happiness and auspiciousness. May the great hero who was born, who is endowed with perfect meaning and wealth, and who has accomplished the assembly of meanings, bring you happiness and auspiciousness. May the one whose birth caused the earth, together with the forests, to tremble greatly, and who made beings extremely happy, bring you happiness and auspiciousness. When going to the heart of the Bodhi tree, the earth shook in six ways, and may the one who made Mara's mind unhappy bring you happiness and auspiciousness. When turning the wheel of Dharma, proclaiming the noble truths, and wherever the fame of the Sage arose, may that bring you happiness and auspiciousness. May the captivating heretics, all defeated by the Dharma, and the one who made all assemblies free, bring you happiness and auspiciousness. May the Buddha bring you happiness and auspiciousness, and may the happiness of Indra, Brahma, and all the gods of the earth be constantly bestowed upon you. By the power of the Buddha's merit, and by the will of all the gods, may whatever you desire be accomplished today. (424) May you two-legged ones have happiness and auspiciousness! May you four-legged ones have happiness and auspiciousness! May your journey be happy and auspicious! May those who return also have happiness and auspiciousness! May the day be happy, may the night be happy, may the noon be happy, and may all day and night be happy and auspicious! May you not commit sins! May you two-legged ones have happiness and auspiciousness! May all beings, headed by the deceased so-and-so, completely triumph over all unfavorable directions, and may it be extremely auspicious! To all the noble and venerable Lamas, and to the deities of the Yidam Mandala, I prostrate and take refuge! The Sugata, Samantabhadra, the chief of the five families, Bodhisattvas, consorts, and the six capable gatekeepers, To the peaceful and wrathful, vast mandala of deities, I respectfully prostrate and take refuge! Furthermore, the ocean of Buddhas in the ten directions, The gods and goddesses of the Bodhi, inseparable consorts, Vajra messengers, Dakinis, and their retinues, I respectfully prostrate and take refuge! The hosts of Buddha's sons, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas, Those who remain, the once-returners, the non-returners, Those who are learning and those who are not, fields of merit, I respectfully prostrate and take refuge! From beginningless time in this ocean of Samsara, Due to the power of ignorance, wandering in delusion, Whatever sins have been committed by body, speech, and mind, All of them, I now confess individually. Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Mahayana, and so forth, From the monastic discipline of each teaching, like an ocean, Whatever things have been transgressed or mistaken, All of them, I now confess individually. Knowing, practicing, and undertaking, Twenty-five root and branch precepts, Guarding (426) vows, exceeding the time limit, All of them, I now confess individually. In short, I confess all faults, downfalls, and sins. I rejoice in virtue, urge the turning of the wheel, I pray that you do not pass into Nirvana, but remain forever. May I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings! Having prostrated in this way, then the deceased offers a mandala as a gift for receiving empowerment. The ground is anointed with incense and flowers are scattered. This Mount Meru, four continents, adorned with sun and moon, By offering it, visualizing it as a Buddha-field, May all beings enjoy the pure realm! oṃ vajra rekha āḥ hūṃ (藏文，梵文天城体：ओँ वज्र रेखा आः हूँ，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajra rekha āḥ hūṃ，汉语字面意思：嗡，金刚，纹，啊，吽) Thus saying, Ema!
