Because busyness will not cease, the boundary between samsara and nirvana must be distinguished. As it is said, the dharma nature of the body, speech, and mind of sentient beings is originally and naturally pure, but temporarily obscured by the appearance of sudden delusion and attachment. From beginningless time until now, they have been continuously revolving in the six realms. The speech of the postures of the bodies of the six realms, the discriminating thoughts of the mind, the ways of experiencing suffering, have been done countless times, but all have become meaningless. Now, still clinging to and attached to unfinished karma, what is the use? Therefore, this time, the boundary between samsara and nirvana must be distinguished, and from now on, the root of being born in samsara must be severed. How to distinguish it? (549) By using things that are the same as the appearances and forms of samsaric karma as the path, one will awaken to the essence of bad karma, and from then on, one will be liberated from attachment. In the common tantric teachings, it is also said: 'By discrimination, discriminate discrimination; by existence, purify existence. Just as water enters the ear, it should be drawn out by other water. Similarly, the discrimination of things should also be purified by thorough understanding.' What is said, and so on, is also a key point. Secondly, there are two divisions, outer and inner. First, the outer division, as stated in 'After Death': 'For the preliminary practice of the body, practice various six-realm behaviors, and also practice the behaviors of the Three Jewels.' As it is said, go to a secluded place such as a mountainside or empty valley where there is no human traffic, offer a torma to the local deities, and then think: 'Now, for the benefit of sentient beings, I will distinguish the boundary between samsara and nirvana, and from now on (550) I will not return to samsara.' After generating such a thought in the mind, the hells have heat and cold, the pretas have hunger and thirst, the animals have servitude, humans have birth, old age, sickness, and death, the asuras have fighting, the gods have falling, etc. All the experiences of happiness and suffering of the six realms are experienced in one's own mind, and the body makes all postures such as bending, running, walking, and staying. The mouth speaks the sounds of this and that, etc., practicing continuously until fatigue and agitation become the same, and then observing the nature of the subsequent consciousness and resting. The body then lies down comfortably, making the body postures of the peaceful and wrathful deities, and the mouth

The sound of the mantra's intonation, clarifying the appearance of those thoughts, striving to be focused, and maintaining the nature of subsequent awareness. By doing so, the body will not feel cold, heat, hunger, thirst, or attachment, and there will be no negation or affirmation. The wisdom of meditation (551) on the meaning of the Guru's instructions will arise in the mouth, and the experience of clear, empty, unobstructed bliss will naturally arise in the mind. Until these arise, one must continuously practice. The necessity of these is: to purify the sins of body, speech, and mind, to pacify obstacles, to transform attachments, and to attain Buddhahood in the Vajra of body, speech, and mind. The root text states that the taming of body, speech, and mind should be done separately, and combined with the preliminaries of the three doors. However, considering that if the taming is divided into three parts, the practice will appear essential and rich in content, the Gurus practice according to what was just said. Second, the distinction of taming as it is done internally, and the method of how to distinguish it. First point: In "Vast Expanse of Clarity" it says: "In order to exhaust the causes of internal confusion, distinguish samsara and nirvana as internal." Therefore, although distinguishing taming as it is done externally can eliminate the appearance of external confusion (552), if the causes and seeds of internal confusion still exist, then due to the motivation of afflictions such as hatred, unwholesome imprints will be left in each seed, thereby awakening their power, leading to the inability to cut off the cycle of the six realms. Therefore, it is necessary to cut off these. Second point: In "Subsequent Limit" it says: "This body is born from ignorance, therefore the seeds of the six realms all exist within it. Awareness is the reality of the three bodies, therefore the letters of the three bodies appear. Practice the letters, distinguish the taming." The way the seeds exist is: In "Vast Expanse of Clarity" it says: "In the crown, throat, heart, navel, secret place, and soles of the feet, A, Su, ṇi, Tra, Pre, and Du reside respectively." Therefore, for beings who need to be tamed, in the six places of the body, what needs to be tamed is: in the crown chakra, there is the seed of the gods, white A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿); in the throat chakra, there is the seed of the Asuras, yellow-green Su (藏文,梵文天城体:सु,梵文罗马拟音:su,汉语字面意思:苏); in the heart chakra, there is the seed of humans, blue-green ṇi (藏文,梵文天城体:ण,梵文罗马拟音:ṇi,汉语字面意思:尼); in the navel chakra, there is the seed of animals, red-black Tra (藏文,梵文天城体:त्र,梵文罗马拟音:tra,汉语字面意思:知); in the secret place, there is the seed of the pretas, red-black Pre (藏文,梵文天城体:प्रे,梵文罗马拟音:pre,汉语字面意思:布); and in the soles of the feet, there is the seed of hell beings, smoky Du (藏文,梵文天城体:दु,梵文罗马拟音:du,汉语字面意思:度). One should visualize that the imprints of the six realms exist congenitally in these places, like smoke rising from a coal pit, and practice.
