Thus, with the iron fence as the outer perimeter, gradually arrange the accumulation of flowers (543), in the center is Mount Sumeru, to the east is Purvavideha, to the south is Jambudvipa, to the west is Aparagodaniya, to the north is Uttarakuru, to the east left and right are the subcontinents such as Deha and Videha, and within each continent, in the four directions of east, etc., are elephants, ministers, horse kings, queens, etc., and in the four corners such as fire, etc., are generals, wheel jewels, wish-fulfilling jewels, great treasures, etc., to the east of Mount Sumeru is the sun, to the west is the moon, etc., each accumulation with its own distinct form, filled with the desires of gods and humans without anything lacking, thinking of offering one's own body, possessions, and all the accumulated merits of the three times, recite: Precious mandala, pleasing offering clouds, possessing immeasurable wish-fulfilling wealth, immeasurable adornment of the sky, by offering this, may all beings enjoy the pure realm (544)! Thus reciting, accumulating the offering heap and praying with the mind, do it in three parts. Thus doing the ritual of twenty-three heaps is following the fundamental treatises of the mandala ritual, doing thirty-seven heaps is also the same as the commonly practiced practice now, and is not considered contradictory. The second is, arranging nine heaps, visualizing the dense and pure realm of Akanishta, the palace of wisdom jewels, the alluring goddesses of sensual desire, the clouds of offerings filling the sky, recite: Akanishta great bliss jewel palace, possessing banners of various offering clouds, visualizing filling the sky and offering, may all beings enjoy the Sambhogakaya realm! Thus, as before, make three parts and offer. The third is, arranging five heaps, the realm of the luminosity of Dharmata, the manifestation of qualities that are naturally pure and spontaneously accomplished, the self-light of wisdom shining, samsara and nirvana, in the sphere of equality, cultivating the boundless intention, recite: Luminous spontaneously accomplished realm of the five wisdoms, originally adorned with body and bindus, by offering this with pure self-appearance, may we enjoy the Dharmakaya realm of Samantabhadra! Thus, offer it while being held by the wisdom of the three wheels without objectification. If willing and able, then make outer, inner, and secret offerings.

to be offered with as many distinctions as possible. Second is the supplication: Generate a definite understanding that the lama himself is the essence of the totality of the Three Jewels. Abandon the evil mind of fault-finding, and with the remembrance of qualities, draw forth the thread of faith. Generate immeasurable faith and devotion to the point of tears flowing, and perform the supplication of the lineage of lamas as if it were separate (546). If condensed, then just the supplication of the lama's four bodies is sufficient. In particular, recite as much as possible: Oṃ Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hrīḥ Mahā Reṇi Sara Ja Śriya Siddhi Phala Āḥ Huṃ. The outer vessel is the celestial mansion, the inner essence is the nature of the lama, the sound is the self-sound of mantra, and the remembrance and thought do not stray from the wheel of the nature of reality. Finally, supplicate the glorious and holy lama, the essence of all the Buddhas of the three times, the possessor of the four bodies: Please grant me empowerment and blessings. Please grant me the blessings to generate the realization of the profound path, especially in my being. Please grant me the blessings to realize the view of the original purity of the state of being. Please grant me the blessings to perfect the spontaneously accomplished wisdom of the four visions. Having supplicated in this way, the lama rejoices and smiles, and from the three letters of the state of being, white, red, and blue rays of light emanate. They enter and dissolve into one's own three places in sequence (547), filling the entire inside of the body, purifying the defilements of the three doors. Think that you have received the four empowerments and manifested the four bodies. Again, supplicate with intense devotion and longing. The lama comes to the crown of your head, and with immeasurable compassion, dissolves into light and dissolves from the crown of your head. Your own three doors and the lama's three vajras become inseparable, and to the best of your ability, remain in equipoise in the state of bliss and emptiness united, and dedicate the merit. Strive in this way until a sign of having received the power of blessings appears. These are the common preliminaries of both Sutra and Tantra. Second, there are three uncommon preliminaries for establishing the state of being: distinguishing saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, the preliminaries of the three doors, and settling into the natural state. First, there is the explanation of distinguishing saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, and the way of distinguishing them (548). The first is, from the Uttaratantra: If saṃsāra and nirvāṇa are not distinguished, then even with the body, speech, and mind of the three realms...
