Visualizing that from the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,seed syllable, meaning to destroy) at the heart of Phyag na rdo rje (持金刚,Vajrapani), rays of light emanate, at the end of which appears a red Adod Gyal (འདོད་རྒྱལ,'dod rgyal,自在天) holding an iron hook and a lasso. With this, invite the Great King (རྒྱལ་པོ,rgyal po) and his retinue from the palace of Jang lo can (ལྕང་ལོ་ཅན,lcang lo can,the northern continent of Jambudvipa), visualize them in front, and they become non-dual with the visualized retinue. Recite and contemplate in this way. The mudra for inviting the Great King, or the iron hook mudra. If desired, beat the drum accompanied by music, or hold a vajra bell. Recite: 'Protector, enjoy the music here, like the white conch shell, the kangling, etc.' Like the beginning of the golden libation of the vajra phurba (རྡོ་རྗེ་ཕུར་པ,rdo rje phur pa,vajra kīla), play the music, striking twice, each strike accompanied by a short 'se' sound. All gone ones, oath-bound ones! Now is the time of the five degenerations, all are sinking in the mud of afflictions. The five inexpiable sins (མཚམས་མེད་ལྔ,mtshams med lnga) are all ripe.' Before the first word, the 'se' sound is slightly longer, and the latter two words are short, each strike accompanied by two musical beats. Practice, watch, and go to the bad places. Before Shakya Sengge (ཤཱཀྱ་སེང་གེ,Śākya sengge,Śākyasiṃha), please remember your vows. To protect the guiding teachings, and for the benefit of all sentient beings, please let the Great King and his retinue rest. Those who dwell in the northern regions, for the sake of sentient beings, please come here. Here, play the music with two strikes and beat the cymbals. Then, strike the larger cymbals twice and stop. Recite: 'Oṃ, Vaiśravaṇa (བཻ་ཤྲ་མ་ཎ,Vaiśravaṇa) and his retinue, sa mā jaḥ jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ! Oṃ, Vai, svāhā! Oṃ, Vaiśravaṇa, ākarṣaya jaḥ.' When reciting, the 'Vai' should be long and majestic, close your eyes, and continue for thirty-two breaths. Visualize that in the heart of the Great King there is an eight-petaled lotus, and on each petal there are four 'Vai' syllables. Visualize that the hearts of the samaya being and the wisdom being are made inseparable by the iron hook of light. Recite and contemplate in this way. If there are many lamas and disciples, at this time, recite thirty or fifty 'Vai' syllables together. Recite: 'Oṃ, Ratna Mukuṭa Abhiṣiñca Mi.' With this, bestow the empowerment of the precious crown. Visualize that on the crown of the head of all the main deities and the retinue appears a white Oṃ (ཨོཾ,oṃ,seed syllable, body), at the throat a red Āḥ (ཨཱཿ,āḥ,seed syllable, speech), and at the heart a blue Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,seed syllable, mind). Recite and contemplate in this way. Then, offer the offerings extensively. Offerings: Purify with amrita (ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ,amṛta), cleanse with svabhāva (སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ,svabhāva). From emptiness, visualize in vast jeweled vessels, the bathing water, offering water, foot washing water, mouth washing water, five desirable objects, seven precious jewels, eight auspicious symbols, etc., arising from the melting of Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ (ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ,oṃ āḥ hūṃ). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ་བརྒྱད་ལ་
