To the east is Yellow Four-faced One, residing on a swan, holding a wheel in the right hand and a vase in the left. In the southeast corner is White Indra (Śakra), residing on an elephant, holding a vajra. To the south is Red Agni (god of fire), residing on a goat, holding a fire pot. To the southwest is Blue Yama (lord of death), residing on a buffalo, holding a staff. To the west is Black Rakshasa (demon), residing on a corpse, holding a sword. To the northwest is White Varuna (god of water), residing on a makara (sea monster), holding a snake lasso. In the northwest corner is Blue-gray Vayu (god of wind), residing on a deer, holding a banner. To the west is Yellow Yaksha (a type of spirit), residing on a horse, holding a staff. To the north is White Ishvara (Shiva), residing on a bull, holding a trident. The Earth Goddess, residing on a pig, holding a vase with both hands. All are adorned with jeweled crowns and silk garments. Thus, the guardians of the directions are desired to be seated on the right side. According to the texts, it seems to rely solely on deities such as Kubera. At the eastern gate is Great King Dhṛtarāṣṭra (Holder of the Realm), white in color, holding a pipa (lute) with both hands. At the southern gate is Virūḍhaka (Increaser), blue in color, holding a sword. At the western gate is Virūpākṣa (Wide-Eyed), red in color, holding a snake lasso. At the northern gate is Vaiśravaṇa (All-Hearing), yellow in color, holding a mongoose. All four kings stand with their feet together, adorned with jeweled crowns and beautiful red silk garments of the gods. Thus, the deities who have been invited and are present are depicted with clear colors and emblems. Not generating oneself as the deity is like taking siddhi (accomplishment) from a lord-like deity, which is the tradition of the tantras. Although the colors and emblems appear in many different forms, here it is done according to the words of Asanga. Then, perform the general prostrations and individual prostrations with prayers according to the texts. In the case of Śākyamuni, recite one hundred and eight texts; in the case of Vajrapāṇi, recite two hundred dharanis. Recite as much of the Suvarṇaprabhāsa Sūtra (Golden Light Sutra) as possible. In all prayers, insert one's own or others' names. Then, the meaning of reciting mantras and bathing is: with the previous vase, cleanse by reciting 'Om Vajre Vajre' etc., purify with ' स्वाभाव (svabhāva, self-nature)'. From emptiness, from 'भ्रूम (bhrūṃ, seed syllable)' (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ, Devanagari: भ्रूम, Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal meaning: seed syllable) arises a precious vase, complete with all characteristics, within which from 'ཧྲཱིཿ (hrīḥ, seed syllable)' (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: seed syllable) arises a lotus, and from 'ཨཱཿ (āḥ, seed syllable)' (Tibetan: ཨཱྃ, Devanagari: आः, Romanization: āḥ, Literal meaning: seed syllable) arises a moon disc, upon which in the center are 'भ्रूम (bhrūṃ, seed syllable)' (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ, Devanagari: भ्रूम, Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal meaning: seed syllable), 'ཨཱྃ (āṃ, seed syllable)' (Tibetan: ཨཱྃ, Devanagari: आं, Romanization: āṃ, Literal meaning: seed syllable), 'ཛྲཱིྃ (jrīṃ, seed syllable)' (Tibetan: ཛྲཱིྃ, Devanagari: ज्रीं, Romanization: jrīṃ, Literal meaning: seed syllable), 'ཁཱྃ (khāṃ, seed syllable)' (Tibetan: ཁཱྃ, Devanagari: खां, Romanization: khāṃ, Literal meaning: seed syllable), 'ཧཱུྃ (hūṃ, seed syllable)' (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूं, Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: seed syllable), radiating five pure rays of light,' or visualize being surrounded by a rosary of mantras, and then offer offerings such as 'Assembly of Noble Ones,' and pray: 'O Vaiḍūrya, endowed with inconceivable power and strength, may you...'
