If it is said that (the Buddha image) is decorated with snake heads to symbolize reverence and worship, then the number of those snake heads must be countless. Because the number of the single line symbolizing Gangdis (mountain name) is also countless. The reason for saying this is that you also admit that the two are consistent in example and meaning, as stated in the scriptures. If you agree, then it contradicts the actual number 'seven' that is stated. Second, what contradicts reason is: if it corresponds to the example, then the snake head that is said to be decorated with seven snake heads must have two heads in the middle. Because the middle number of the single line number of Gangdis Mountain must have two numbers. The reason for saying this is that the two are consistent in example and meaning. If the first argument is not valid, then the middle number of the single line number of Gangdis Mountain must have two numbers. Because it must have the eighteenth and nineteenth numbers. If a line is divided into thirty-six numbers, then how to identify the middle number of Gangdis Mountain? Because you cannot find any number other than the eighteenth and nineteenth numbers to identify it. In addition, if it is said that the middle snake head is decorated with seven snake heads, then it must be the fourth snake head. Because, if it is said that the middle snake head is decorated with seven snake heads, then it must be the middle snake head with three snake heads on the left and three on the right. If you agree, then if it is not the single line number of Gangdis Mountain, then it must be the eighteenth or nineteenth number. Because, if it is the middle number of the single line number of Gangdis Mountain, then it must be the middle number with seventeen on top and seventeen on the bottom. If you refute, then it is wrong. This inference is a circular argument. The eighteenth and nineteenth numbers of the single line of Gangdis Mountain must not be the middle number of the single line number of Gangdis Mountain. Because there is only one middle number of the single line number of Gangdis Mountain, and according to your point of view, there is no other number. If you agree, then it is wrong. This argument is a circular argument. The nineteenth number of the single line of Gangdis Mountain must also be the eighteenth number. Because the eighteenth and nineteenth numbers of the single line of Gangdis Mountain are both the eighteenth number. If this argument is not valid, then the eighteenth and nineteenth numbers of the single line of Gangdis Mountain (as the topic), you must be the eighteenth number. Because you must be one of the eighteenth and nineteenth numbers, and you are not the nineteenth number. If the first argument is not valid, then it is wrong. This argument is an obvious circular argument. The eighteenth and nineteenth numbers of the single line of Gangdis Mountain --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The two dharmas should be either eighteen or ten, because they are not the central number of a single lineage of Ghaṇṭā (bell). May the Dharma Lord, the Mantra Holder, who elucidates the Three Wheels of Dharma, may his spiritual sons, the Jamyang brothers, Buddha Dhvaja of Chakrasamvara, and the omniscient master of scholars, Sonam Senge, be pleased. Offerings that please the root and lineage gurus, recitations that please the yidam deities, musical instruments that please the dakinis, and feasts that please the wise. Haha Ha. A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: without)! It is indeed possessed of realization! Thus I speak: Since I have not studied logic, if there is any fault in this, may the wise ones who speak of scripture and logic forgive me. Third, the contradiction with scripture: Just as the seven snake heads adorn the Naga King, with the central snake head being the highest, so the eighteenth Ghaṇṭā sound must be struck the loudest. However, in the Vinaya Sutra of the Bhagavan, the Ghaṇṭā Sutra says: 'The Buddha is like the Naga King, adorned by seven nagas, it should be struck in the order of arising.' Moreover, as the Second Buddha Vajradhara himself said: 'One hundred and eight.' Thus, with the three lineages and three tops, the number of Ghaṇṭā is one hundred and eight. The words of the Second Maitreya, Mus Rabjampa, Mahā Karuṇi Śrī Bhadra, also say: 'Those who count thirty-six for each lineage, it is like being adorned by seven nagas.' The point of this analogy is not grasped, and the meaning of the three tops is not understood in the case of one hundred and eight. Since these statements contradict the scriptures, they are unreasonable. Therefore, the reasonable position of our own school, which is in accordance with the meaning of the sutras and treatises, is that the number of Ghaṇṭā increases from one to seventeen, with eighteen being the greatest, and then decreases from nineteen to thirty-five. This is the meaning of 'lineage.' One is one lineage, and three are three lineages, totaling one hundred and five Ghaṇṭā. Adding the three tops, the total of three lineages and three tops is one hundred and eight. Here it is said: The establishment of the Ghaṇṭā, like the name of the sun... the king of seven horses. The one who opens the lotus of the wise mind, the Upasaka of the Shakya clan, Thogchog, the one who has heard much, has skillfully composed it. The yogi cherishes me like an only son. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
