From the east of Nyanpo, my emanation will arise from the region of Do Kham. From the place of Tise, this profound treasure will be revealed. In Tise, the snow mountain at the heart of Jambudvipa, if that emanation son of mine practices this, it will prevent beings of Jambudvipa from falling into the lower realms once. In the three regions of Tibet, Ngari, U-Tsang, and Kham, practice this three times, son! By the blessings of the Lord of the Family, Vajrasattva, and the aspiration of the Vidyadhara Padmakara, and by the aspiration of you, the fortunate one, it is certain that the two obscurations of beings in this degenerate age will be purified. Samaya! Gya Gya Gya! As it was said, Yeshe Tsogyal, the consort, wrote it in dakini script and hid it in the dakini's secret treasury. As the prophecy of Guru Rinpoche came to pass, Vidyadhara Nyima Drakpa was invited in the Wood Female Hare year, and in the Earth Male Horse year, this profound instruction was translated from the yellow scroll. In order to receive the empowerment of fully obtaining this profound instruction, I pray that the recitation of this prayer and so on will be done according to the text. Mangalam! The Vajrasattva Lineage Prayer: Called "The Great Boat of Compassion." All-pervading, glorious Kunsang Vajrasattva, Padmasambhava, Kharchen Tsogyal, and the great translator Luvang Drodrul Lingpa, I pray to you, may the two obscurations be completely purified! Vidyadhara Sonam Tenzin, the incomparable, kind Padma Zhepai De, and the banner of the teachings that you have upheld, I pray to you, may the two obscurations be completely purified! Entering the supreme vehicle, the faults of violating vows, and the impairments, confusions, and obscurations, through the confession that possesses the four powers, may the obscurations of all beings, self and others, equal to space, be completely purified! The impure environment and beings, the collection of two obscurations to be purified, the purifiers, the five families of deities, the hundred-syllable mantra, the sound of the five families, by the blessings of the deity, mantra, and great bliss compassion, may the five poisons ripen into the five wisdoms! In the pure Akanishta realm of my own mind, the self-aware, glorious Vajrasattva himself, in the center of the five wisdom lights that are completely pervasive, may I be liberated by seeing the face of the one who always abides! Holding the thread, the light rays of the mantra in the heart of oneself, visualized as Vajrasattva, coil around the thread and go forth, nectar descends from the parts of the bodies of the lama and the individual deities, filling the vase. Recite the mantra as before. Hūṃ. Eight-limbed, etc. Offer the conch shell to Vajrasattva, all buddhas, etc. Say: Ā ā. The wisdom being departs into space, the samaya being dissolves into the water. Place the vase on the crown of the head and bathe. Ā. Recite the number of years. The water of the vase becomes a stream of the five wisdoms, and by bathing with ā, the karma and obscurations of being born in hell are purified. At the throat, recite bhya, the number of years. The karma of being born as a preta is purified. At the secret place, recite gya nine times. The karma of being born as an animal is purified. At the forehead, recite taṃ eleven times. The karma of being born as a god is purified. At the right armpit, recite keṃ twenty times. The karma of being born as an asura is purified. At the heart, recite oṃ āḥ hūṃ svāhā. To the entirety of the ocean of mandalas of the hundred families, the all-pervading lord, the powerful one of the wheel, the great bliss, to the primordial protector Vajrasattva, inseparable from the glorious lama, I respectfully bow. From the instructions on the great secret, the gathering of families, Vajrasattva, for the sake of taking disciples as followers, according to the sacred oral instructions of the maturing empowerment ritual, I will now perform this unerring and easily accessible ritual arrangement. Furthermore, the sequence of empowerment into the mandala of the glorious Vajrasattva is to be spoken in an arranged manner, as it says in the text: Homage to Heruka! Holder of the secrets of all buddhas, Lord of the family, Vajrasattva.
