In the place of fierce and violent demons, the ritual of burning corpses should be abandoned. In a place where the land is tamed and in the midst of settlements and towns, where there is a natural dwelling place with a white aspect, the ritual of the land should be well examined and practiced. Draw a mandala of one cubit square according to the scriptures. Arrange and prepare vases, medicines, alcohol, and tormas. Make one-cubit-high pedestals at the four corners of the mandala. On them, write with ashes and plaster with gypsum. On top of the extremely hardened roof, build a cremation chamber in the center. The inside should be round, and the center should be cut into a triangle. The shape should be like that of a stupa. Inside the triangle, sandalwood and juniper wood, the outer layer one cubit, the middle layer one arrow-length, the inner layer one cubit, should be skillfully stacked. After properly guiding the seven steps of placement, also perform empowerment, offer desirable things, dedicate merit, and show the way. Secondly, the actual cremation sequence is: wash the corpse with water and anoint it with fragrant scents. Recite the blessing of the dwelling place and seal it. Place the liberation wheel and the hundred-syllable mantra on the heart. If the corpse is that of a lama or a Dharma brother or sister, especially anoint it with fragrant scents, medicines, and incense in great quantities. Burn gugul incense and summon the consciousness of the one being separated from the executioner. Wrap it with pure white cloth soaked in clarified butter. In the center of the cremation chamber, place the buttocks and both feet firmly, slightly bent forward. Leave the fire door, the hole for pouring cremation substances, and the gaps for wind from all directions. Samaya. (藏文:ས་མ་ཡཱ།,梵文天城体:समय,梵文罗马拟音:samaya,汉语字面意思:Oath) Gya Gya Gya. Secondly, in front of the actual cremation chamber, accumulate inner and outer offerings, tsokhor, etc., and cremation substances, etc., in accordance with the scriptures. Paint the cremation chamber with four earth colors. If it is the remains of a lama, Dharma brother or sister, or a special person, who is worthy of offering and praise, decorate the cremation chamber with umbrellas, banners, pennants, and victory banners. Perform the ritual, straighten the text, and turn the tsokhor. Visualize yourself as the Vajrasattva, the lord of the family, and recite the hundred-syllable mantra from your mouth. A garland of light, the mantra, radiates onto the corpse. From the dwelling place of the corpse, from the liberation wheel at the heart, the mantra syllables sound spontaneously, and light pervades samsara and nirvana. Purify the karmic obscurations of sentient beings in the six realms, gather the blessings and power of the Buddhas, and the nature of the five wisdoms blazes as fire. The deceased, from beginningless samsara, has accumulated
