Regarding the lower part of the earth offering torma, the upper part is for the bodhicitta, hair, nails, etc., of one's own root guru, father and mother, and the middle part is for placing the copper gau box containing the guru's relics. In addition, the surroundings are encircled with meat, butter, food, fruits, etc., whichever is convenient, front or back. Moreover, during the outer practice, the vase and statue, which are the supports for practice, are the most important; during the inner practice, the jewel-radiant torma is the most important to rely on, so it is thought that it does not matter even if this torma is not present during the outer practice. The offering torma is: the tsampa is made by mixing five grains of flour and other clean materials, and then mixed with dharma medicine and various spices, making a glorious torma that is radiant with jewels, surrounded by retinues equal to the number of deities. The outer surroundings are encircled with meat, butter, food, fruits, etc., and elaborately decorated with beautiful ornaments. The surface is smeared with vermillion. These tormas should be placed no higher than the practitioner's navel. In the kapala bowl, on the right, place amrita blessed with the essence of good wine and medicinal practice, and on the left, place rakta with saffron water or, if there is no saffron water, clean blood. The wicks of each lamp should also be placed separately, without mixing them. On a lower platform than this, place the triangular torma of the oath-bound protectors, surrounded by eight identical retinues, and smear it with vermillion. Place large butter lamps and eight lingams with their heads and tails reversed. A heap of eight kinds of hearts and meat made of large pieces of meat or mutton, etc., with volcanic decorations. For the treasure-protecting deity Lhatsen, offer a red triangular doma, with the main deity and retinue totaling seven, decorated with meat and blood. Arrange the karma and terma tormas on the left and right or in front, whichever is convenient. Starting from the northeast, clockwise, place flowers made of tsampa for the five senses, large pieces of meat and incense sticks, butter lamps with a lot of fat added, which can be painted with pigment or not. The amrita is food mixed with foul odor or medicine and blessed by practice. Fragrant foot bath water. Arrange leg bone trumpets, skull drums, and other musical instruments, or play them, or it is acceptable not to arrange them. Outside of these, starting from the right, arrange the five offerings, with water preceding, in a circular or straight line. Also display as many written or sculpted statues of the three roots, general and specific, as possible, and decorate the site.

Adorn with beautiful arrangements such as banners and eye-catching decorations. Inside the retreatant's seat, under a clean space, draw a swastika with white earth in the form of a Dharma wheel. It is said that this is an auspicious sign for stable dwelling. Stack white bricks by the door. For whatever year and month the retreat is conducted, prepare abundant offering cakes, food, and drink. Medicines and doctors to pacify illness. Weapons to repel enemies, etc., gather all necessary items without omission. Select cooks and messengers, reliable and with vows, in appropriate numbers. Ensure that all resources, including favorable conditions and items to be returned from elsewhere, are considered from the beginning to prevent interruption of the retreat. Additionally, prepare hand bells, hand drums, mustard seeds, amulets, and various musical instruments. The above are the preliminary preparations. Second, the main practice has three parts. First, the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment and the great significance of obtaining it. The nature of impermanence, that the body is easily destroyed and death is uncertain. The results of virtuous and non-virtuous actions are never confused, and cause and effect are infallible. Refuge in the pure outer, inner, and secret fields of accumulation. Accumulating merit through the seven-branch practice. Generating the supreme mind of enlightenment, uniting skillful means and wisdom. The antidote to negative karma, the Vajrasattva (藏文:རྡོར་སེམས་,梵文天城体:वज्रसत्त्व,梵文罗马拟音:Vajrasattva,汉语字面意思:金刚萨埵) practice with complete four powers. Completing the accumulation of merit and wisdom, the outer, inner, and secret Mandala Guru Yoga to purify impure ordinary appearances and attachments. Prayers to the lineage for inspiration of blessings and accomplishments. Merging the wisdom Vajra mind and the stainless self-awareness, uniting mind and consciousness, etc., these are like the foundation of the generation and completion stages. Therefore, these practices should be continuous, especially from the beginning, establishing unbroken auspicious connections. Like the tenth day of the waxing moon, auspicious times are gathered by the results of the five limbs of astrology. Or, even if not, begin from the auspicious first evening. Then, those who need to enter the retreat should enter. The white and red tormas of the preliminary outer tantras. The outer and inner tormas by the door, triangular, red, adorned with flames.
