Homage to the Buddha Shakyamuni, who knows the world, the supreme tamer of beings, the unsurpassed charioteer, the teacher of gods and humans, and to the Sangha of eight thousand monks, and the thirty-six thousand Bodhisattvas. I offer and take refuge! Recite seven times. Hūṃ. Pure and purified, a collection of offerings mixed together. From...etc. Namaḥ sarva tathāgata arhate arghaṃ... offer up to Shabda. Hūṃ. Having accumulated and purified for countless eons, the excellent aspiration, the refuge of beings in the degenerate age, the teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha Bhagavan, I prostrate and praise the feet of Shakyamuni. I pray that the compassion and blessings of the Bhagavan, the Victorious Shakyamuni Buddha and his retinue, remembering their kindness, through the power of reciting dharanis and uttering names, may all diseases, evil spirits, sins, obscurations, and sufferings arising from the causes of evil deeds of all sentient beings, including myself, be pacified until enlightenment, and may all life, wealth, and collections of virtue increase and expand. In the center of the vast realm of the Dharmadhatu Victorious Ones, upon a fearless lion throne, lotus, sun, and moon, the Tathagata Medicine King, the color of lapis lazuli, the supreme giving mudra, equipoise, Arura's victorious emblem, at his heart, a blue Hūṃ syllable in the center of the moon, surrounded by a garland of mantras, rays of light emanate in the ten directions, purifying the sins and obscurations of sentient beings in the six realms, offering to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, gathering blessings, the created palace dissolves into me and all beings. Rich in the power of aspiration, prayer, and samadhi, thinking of purification being perfected and enlightenment being manifested. Tadyathā. Ghume ghume. Imini mihi. Mati mati. Sapta tathāgata. Homage to the Bhagavan, the Thus-Gone One, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Well-Gone One, the Knower of the World, the Tamer of Beings, the Unsurpassed One, the Teacher of Gods and Humans, the Buddha, the Medicine Guru, the King of Lapis Lazuli Light, and the hosts of hundreds of thousands of millions of Bodhisattvas. I offer, I take refuge. Recite seven times. Hūṃ. Clouds of offerings that are pure and utterly pure. Offer with words up to "Śapta." Hūṃ. Like the sun, dispel the darkness of ignorance; like the moon, pacify the five poisons of affliction. The Buddha, the Medicine Guru, who cures the three poisons of disease, I prostrate to the light of Lapis Lazuli. With the Bhagavan, the Medicine Guru, the King of Lapis Lazuli Light, and his retinue, remembering their compassion and blessings, through the power of reciting the dhāraṇī and uttering the name, may the world be filled with light, and beings be endowed with auspicious marks. May the light of the body dispel the fear of darkness. May remembrance bring abundant enjoyment and be endowed with happiness. May Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas be led to the path of the Great Vehicle. May all who uphold the precepts be completely purified. May even those with wrong views not fall into the lower realms. May all with defective faculties have complete faculties and be endowed with happiness. May those afflicted by disease, without refuge or protector, tormented by hunger and poverty, be liberated from disease and suffering. May women be liberated from the state of being a woman. May those with wrong views be led to right views. May they be liberated from the fears of royal punishment and so forth. May those who are hungry, thirsty, and impoverished obtain food and drink. May the elderly, infirm, and helpless obtain food and clothing, etc. I pray that I and all sentient beings may receive the blessings of these great aspirations, kindness, compassion, and blessings until enlightenment. In the center of the vast realm of the Dharma-dhātu Victorious One, upon a fearless lion throne, lotus, sun, and moon, the Victorious One, whose name is excellent, golden in color, blazing with glory, bestowing refuge, with the mudrā of equipoise, adorned with marks and signs, at the heart, in the center of the moon, at the end of the yellow syllable Hūṃ, the light rays of the mantra radiate in all ten directions.
