My mind's clear experience remains brilliantly, The places I have traveled are vividly remembered, Even if not remembered, they remain in their own state, The emptiness experienced between sleep and wakefulness, The appearances of deities and letters upon awakening, These are called self-luminous experiences when looking at the mind, Free from accepting or rejecting, hoping or fearing, without good or bad, All of these are appearances of experience. When one's own mind looks at itself, Certainly, there is no essence, definition, or example, If not looked at and left unattended, it becomes scattered and erratic, Know that this itself is your own mind. When abiding in equanimity, it is inexpressible and still, Rest in the state of the mind's own nature. Thoughts, distractions, experiences of bliss and clarity, And the five poisons, the three poisons, attachment, hatred, and ignorance, etc., Whatever arises as the play of appearances and mind, mental events, Without accepting or rejecting, let them go naturally, Or look at their essence and cultivate naked, empty clarity. Practice whichever of these two instructions is comfortable for you. If understood, one's own mind is inexpressible, free from arising and ceasing, Past, present, and future, timeless, appearance and emptiness beyond the intellect, Indivisible, without shape or color, Without existence or non-existence, right or wrong, permanence or annihilation, free from bias. In the radiance of that state, without distraction, That which is free from meditation, object of meditation, and meditator, Is the supreme view and meditation of the true meaning. Take it to heart and act meaningfully. Toward the nature of all sentient beings of the six realms as one's parents, Generate love and compassion in every way. It is difficult to have innate love and compassion in one's being, So first generate it outwardly, and then it will naturally blend in. Without compassion, the root of Dharma rots. The Lama is the embodiment of all Buddhas, Although all the Buddhas of the past had great compassion, One cannot see them, meet them, or have them as an object of practice. The present Lama is manifestly present and has personal conduct. His mind is the Dharmakaya, his speech is the Sambhogakaya, His body is the Nirmanakaya, truly the Buddhas of the three times. He shows the path of goodness and protects from the path of evil. By relying on him properly and carrying out the Dharma's teachings, You will be established irreversibly in one lifetime and one body. This is superior to all Buddhas for oneself. Therefore, place your trust in the incomparable guide, It is crucial to offer prayers with devotion and longing. Attain realization of experience according to the degree of faith, high, medium, or low. Without faith, even if you meet the face of the Buddha, You will wander in samsara like the remnants of the four Hearers. Generate faith and devotion from the heart.

I offer this prayer. When impermanence and death, compounded things come to an end, gather your mind inward, strive not to stray from the solitary mountain. Protect the essence of the ascetic's essence, sever the bonds of attachment and clinging. This was offered at the request of Chögyal Tsen, a meditation monk from the great sacred site of Spowo-ne. Namo Guru Ratna Ye. (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གྷུ་རུ་རཏྣ་ཡེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु रत्न ये, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: namo guru ratna ye, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to Guru Jewel). Homage to the Lotus Guru, the supreme lama, the sole protector of beings, who possesses great compassion. The realm of view, enemies and friends, attachment and hatred, and feelings of happiness and suffering, Buddhas and sentient beings, etc., realizing without distinction is the definitive meaning. In the interplay of appearance and mind, the self-radiance of that, without abandoning or adopting, rejecting or establishing, in equality, meditate by placing it beyond the mind. That which is naturally arising, free from extremes, distraction and meditation, the union of view and meditation is unsurpassed. The realm of view and the mind of meditation, do not separate the two, meditate on the self-radiance of the view. The play of appearance and mind, you must take the view as the path. In the state of equipoise, the emptiness of "ha-da", inexpressible, letting go of thoughts, that is the union of view and meditation, so decide, do not cling to experience, cultivate in natural authenticity. If there is a difference between distraction and non-distraction, a sign of distraction, without distraction, strive while being free from clinging to meditation. Bliss, clarity, non-thought, the five poisons, the three poisons, etc., the essence is empty and pure, free from attachment and clinging. Whatever happiness or suffering arises, take it as the path with equal taste. If there is no preliminary, the root of Dharma is cut. Think about how difficult it is to obtain a human body, and that death is uncertain. Protect karma and its results, which are infallible, like your own eyes. May the mountain of faith always be stable, and may the ocean of devotion never be depleted. Protect the essence of asceticism in a solitary place, and never abandon the mountain cave of meditation. This was offered to Padma Drimé. Namo Guru Ratna Trayaya. (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གྷུ་རུ་རཏྣ་ཏྲ་ཡཱ་ཡ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु रत्न त्रयाय, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: namo guru ratna trayāya, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to Guru Jewel Three). Lama Rinpoche, the embodiment of the Three Jewels and the Victorious Ones, I pray that you look upon me with your compassionate eyes. Bless me, kind Dharma Lord. The way of realizing the naturally liberated view, the way of understanding, in equality, beyond extremes of yes and no, existence and non-existence. The view of realization, abiding in that essence. In the nature of reality, which is free from the three places of arising, ceasing, and abiding. Emptiness and clarity, letting go of all thoughts, awareness unceasing, neither beneficial nor harmful, this is the unsurpassed meditation, cultivate without distraction and without clinging. Now, view and meditation
