To the deity of where, I prostrate, knowing the ultimate self-nature. The unbearable ocean of suffering in existence, wanting to cross over, if one investigates well, having well understood that it is manifested by the deluded mind, cut off its false cave in the realm of Dharma. Thus, the appearances of the six realms pervaded by the sky, even the appearances that appear immeasurably, are due to the power of karma, and thus appear in various ways separately. Karma arises from the power of afflictions, just as a sprout depends on a seed. By its power, it arises, and the interdependent connection is strong. Afflictions arise from clinging to the self, arising from attachment to acceptance and rejection of objects. Appearances arising from the cause of karma and afflictions, to those who are attached in this way, appear as true, existent, and certain, so they grasp as true according to how they appear. By the power of grasping, relying on objects, the experience of various kinds of happiness and suffering manifestly appears. At the very moment of appearance, in the object and the subject, not being established, who experiences and what is experienced? If examined, although it is the nature of solitary emptiness, those who are deluded, not knowing and not accustomed to it, with the clinging of dualistic grasping, even though it is non-existent, it seems as if it exists, and due to the power of feeling, irresistible craving arises. Just as whatever appears in dreams, is merely a self-appearance, even if two or three are not established, it appears as two, and attachment arises as if it were two. By its power, it is like experiencing happiness and suffering. Happiness brings benefit and suffering brings harm, until it is not made in the mind, there is no benefit or harm. To those without mind, like anything else, happiness brings benefit and suffering brings harm. If one examines well how benefit and harm are done in the mind, happiness and suffering other than the mind, can never meet with the mind, the indivisible mind does not mix with others. Only when any form appears in one's own mind, one is mistaken in its nature, thinking it is happiness or suffering. When there is no experiencer and nothing to be experienced, how does one do benefit or harm to another? Mere clarity is like a reflection in a mirror, however it appears, it is merely an appearance, without benefit or harm. Although the reflections of white and blue are different, both are merely reflections, one is pleasant and one is unpleasant. Likewise, although happiness and suffering are different, it is merely a matter of clarity, one does not benefit and one does not harm. Without the two, the doer and the done, and without parts, even if one imputes benefit and harm to oneself, it is false.

Thus, on the very nature of mind, the object and the subject are not established as two. Whatever arises is the same, just a clarity. If you want to examine whether there is benefit or harm, it is extremely peaceful. However, clinging to the non-self as self, thinking that the object benefits or harms me, even though it is non-dual, you insist on dividing it into two, so it seems as if I am experiencing happiness and suffering. Because of the saying, "One's own appearance is an infallible appearance," one does not abandon existence, and constantly revolves in a cycle of various thoughts such as taking and rejecting. The self-image of beginningless habituation, this true appearance, because it seems solid, nourishes attachment. Even if you know it is non-existent, there is no immediate benefit, and it is difficult to abandon the bad habits of the past. Even so, knowing that the end of the happiness and suffering of existence lies in the mind, when you search for the nature of the mind with the mind, if there are those who experience happiness and suffering in the mind, and there are two, the experiencer and the experienced, then I cannot prevent it. Only clarity, only awareness, this is what you experience yourself, this is the mind, there is no other mind besides this. There is no experiencer or experienced in this, the clarity is uninterrupted like the moon in the water. If you examine the nature of that clarity well, there is no boundary or part anywhere inside or outside. Empty and appearing like a mirage, experiencing yourself, in the deep false cave, in the basis of being called "I" and the place called "dharma," detached like dust in the wind, what is samsara? What is happiness and suffering? What is I and other? What is good and bad? This is the self-nature that is not created by anyone. In this baseless and rootless natural state, due to sudden thoughts, the suffering of samsara arises due to the establishment of I, mine, and objects. However, arising also arises from the confusion of one's own mind, and merging also merges into the non-duality of one's own mind. If you do not understand such a natural state, there is no other way to dry up the ocean of samsara, the Victorious Ones have not said so. Thus, if you measure the meaning of nature well, because it is separated from all the elaborations of objects, it is the great primordial emptiness like the nature of space. Without anything, emptiness is as flat as the sky, it is not appropriate for the appearance of samsara and nirvana to arise, so the clear light spontaneously accomplishes like the sun rising in the sky. The clarity with an object is not objectified, and emptiness from that non-objectification
