Just like that, without any movement, Knowing the source of arising, rest naturally. Don't forget that state, the stream of mindfulness, Rely on it continuously, without interruption. Even if it seems empty, rest there. Even if it seems clear, rest there. Even if it seems moving, rest there. Tsenni Karé, Jenné Wa. Whatever happens, rest there. Empty, clear, moving, even knowing that, Also abandon chasing after it. Let awareness rest in its own place. Become familiar with this for a long time. Abandon comparison and great speculation. Sometimes when there is no movement, in a haze, In the midst of sinking, let it be natural. Sometimes when strong moving thoughts arise, The moving thing is the mind, So look upon it and rest. Don't continue after the moving thoughts, hold your own ground. Then the moving will naturally cease. Everything, moving and not moving, Even if just a feeling arises, it's on the mind. The mind is called self-abiding. Does the mind rest in the center of the heart? Let your own mind relax naturally, The entanglement of moving thoughts will naturally unravel. Conceptual thoughts, moving thoughts, are endless, There is no time to let them grow, No matter how much they move, there is no result. Negative thoughts and suffering, you don't know when they will end, So knowing the truth of this, Since beginningless time, you have been controlled by this, Therefore you have not gained any qualities. Now, disgusted with this, No matter how you practice mind-abiding, Dhyana, clairvoyance, and so on, Many qualities will be obtained, Realizing the natural state, Perfect bliss of freedom is found. Thus, with the wisdom that knows faults and qualities, No matter how you subdue your mind, Until you attain quiescence, Practice without laziness. Thus, through repeated practice, The ego in the center of the heart merges into the central channel. Wild conceptual thoughts gradually subside, Your own mind becomes more workable and better. Although there is no other introduction from the lama, This essential instruction for settling the mind, Mind-abiding is easy and there are no wind obstacles. With such an object of mind, When properly placed inside, The ability to meditate, Is quickly attained without difficulty. The subtle line of the heart is not needed here, No color, letters, or holding of breath. In the very existence of your own mind, Looking at it, the stream of mindfulness is maintained. There is no deeper quiescence instruction than this, The key point is easy to do and has great meaning. First, after the mind has settled, When the mind looks at the mind, Looking and looking at the sky, The thing that is seen

Just as one does not fixate on things like dust, one is naturally liberated from all wrong views. The union of emptiness and clarity is the secret of the mind, which arises at the crucial point of reality. Thereafter, the great primordial awareness-emptiness, the spontaneously arising co-emergent wisdom, the meaning of radiant Great Perfection, will be seen through the blessing of the lineage. Written by Mipham on the 6th day of the 1st month of the Fire Horse year at noon. May it be virtuous! A concise presentation of the Chö practice. Homage to Machig Labdrön! Here, to explain the general points of the profound Chö practice that combines the intention of Sutra and Tantra, there are four: the object of Chö, what is to be severed, the means of severing, and how to sever. Firstly, just as when cutting a tree, the place where it is cut and falls is the ground, the place where one abides without attachment after severing clinging is the space of Dharmadhatu, awareness, the heart of Bodhicitta. Abiding in that is the abiding of the noble ones, possessing the nature of the three doors of liberation. In that state, the four maras have no way to roam, and being equal like the sky is called the object of Chö, where the four maras are severed in the Dharmadhatu. What is to be severed is clinging, which, like a fish caught on a hook, is like a net connected to the four maras. The means of severing is the wisdom that realizes selflessness, like a sword. Moreover, it is necessary to have a special certainty about the view of selflessness. These are also achieved through the power of reasoning, or for individuals whose faculties mature all at once, through the power of the ripening empowerment or the guru's introduction, experiencing the nature of no-self and selflessness as it is. How to sever? Because the four objects are seen as lacking truth, the clinging to the object is cut off, and therefore the clinging that connects the object and the subject is severed. To practice such a profound meaning of Chö, one cuts through the view with a vajra-like samadhi, cultivates meditation with an illusion-like samadhi, and removes the obstacles of conduct with a heroically going samadhi, there are three. The first is that the very nature of mind, free from the entanglement of conceptual elaborations, the non-conceptual, spontaneously arising wisdom, is primordially abiding as the great Dharmakaya, and is established through the door of maturation and liberation, this is like the root. The second is that for all sentient beings, the things that obstruct and generate displeasure can be summarized into four.
