The Wheel of Analytical Meditation for Purifying the Activities of the Mind by Examining Them Individually. The Wheel of Analytical Meditation for Purifying the Activities of the Mind by Examining Them Individually. Herein dwells the Wheel of Analytical Meditation for Purifying the Activities of the Mind by Examining Them Individually. Namo Manjushriye (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思). Whatever faults exist in existence, are done by the power of the afflictions of one's own mind. Improper attention is the cause of afflictions; abandoning that is proper attention. This has three meanings: how to meditate, the measure of arising in the continuum, and its necessity. Firstly: the object to which one is particularly attached, having manifested it before the mind, then dividing it into the five aggregates, first examine the body. Flesh, blood, bones, shanks, and marrow, organs, limbs, faculties, and excrement, urine, worms, hair, nails, etc., as many impure substances as there are, and the collection of elements such as earth, classes that can be separated individually, as many of those that exist, to the extent of the limit of dust particles, gradually separate and examine whether attachment arises or does not arise to each of them. From those impure, minute substances, there is nothing else called the body. The body is an impure illusion wheel, like thorns, walls, dung heaps, and solidified foam. When seeing it, one should remain mindful of that meaning. When the continuum of that thought vanishes, also to each of the natures of feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, divide and examine them into many natures. When seeing them as like water bubbles, mirages, water trees, and illusions, knowing that there is no attachment to be made to them either, then that continuum of discrimination, should be cultivated until it vanishes. If it vanishes, do not intentionally continue it, but shift to another individual examination. Thus, that which is impure and that which is an aggregate without essence, once arisen, does not stay for an instant, but one should also contemplate its destruction. All the worlds of the past and future without end have been destroyed, and the present and future are also like that. The nature of conditioned things is a cause for sorrow. All sentient beings are certain to die, and sudden death is unexpected. All these appearances of existence should be contemplated as temporary and changing. In short, whatever aspects there are of the impermanence of conditioned things, as much as possible, one should gradually contemplate them clearly with intelligence. When the aggregate that is the object of attachment is like lightning and water bubbles.

Like a cloud, when seeing it moving, as long as the continuum of discursive thoughts does not disappear, think in that way. Then, each moment of the aggregates that have become many is also, either the nature of suffering, or even if it appears as happiness, it is change and, because it becomes the cause of later suffering, the aggregates are the basis of suffering, and all the sufferings that exist in existence, after thinking about how it is possible, since all of them are the fault of the aggregates, on the aggregates with outflows, even a part as small as the tip of a needle, there is no fault without suffering, this aggregate is the, source of suffering, like impure mud and, a fire pit, a Rakshasa island, it is said, as long as that thought exists. After that, becoming the support of suffering, on this manifold impermanent aggregate, what is called "I"? By analyzing the emptiness of self, like flowing water, rain, and an empty house, if you see it, then in that state of certainty, stay in that state as long as it does not disappear. When it disappears, again, analyze in order as before. Sometimes even without order, think at random with various analyses. Analyze this meaning again and again, sometimes think of the aggregates of others, sometimes observe one's own aggregates, sometimes observe all conditioned phenomena. Whatever you are attached to, refute it. In short, these analyses are many, impermanent, suffering, selfless, the four, after abandoning discursive thoughts that are not them, the wheel of analysis rotates without interruption. The more you analyze, the more certainty arises, on these various objects, with clear awareness moving, like a fire spreading on grass, it should proceed without interruption. In the past, I, at all times, with improper attention, various discursive thoughts arose continuously, replace them with this. If you become tired, and the antidote analysis does not arise, and afflictions etc. also do not arise, then rest in equanimity. After resting for a while and regaining strength, again observe each separately as before. This thought of observing each separately, mindfulness and clear knowing are always present. If you have forgotten, when afflictions arise, like a weapon when seeing an enemy, you should arouse separate observation. Like light in darkness, such separate observation, even slightly, afflictions
