Śupati, the wealthy one, etc., as names of teachers. Kapila, the Samkhya, etc., this is the one who believes in the twenty-five principles of reality. To the Vaisheshika, the rationalists, etc., and Kanada, the atomists, etc., this is the one who believes in the six meanings of words. Some divide the followers of the atomists into the Vaisheshika, and the followers of the Brahmin with feet and eyes into the rationalists, although there is such a distinction, but because the tenets are the same, the meaning is the same, only the names are different. Moreover, the five schools of logic each have subtle differences in their internal views, but in general, they all belong to these five schools. In terms of conduct, Vaidya, the Vedic practitioner or doctor, Brahma, Brahma or Brahmin, Vishnu the pervader, etc., and in some places also called debaters, royal diviners, etc. Some want to explain the internal differences of these, but in general, they become names of conduct. These are the pervader with ten incarnations, the Vedas not made by humans, and those who accept the purity of bathing and places, etc. These people believe that the Vedas are not made by humans, but are naturally produced, so they have a true meaning. And human-made language may have errors, so it is not necessarily true. It is impossible to exhaust all the faults of the mind such as ignorance, because defilement is the nature of the mind. It is also impossible to be omniscient, because the knowable is infinite. That's what they say. Among them, Upanishad, the end of the Vedas. Vedānta-guhya, saying that the end of the Vedas is secret, some also believe that everything is the nature of one great self. Naked ascetics, Acelaka, the unclothed one, therefore also called the shameless one and the wearer of the sky's clothes, etc. The austerities of naked behavior, etc., and the vows of the ten virtues, believe that all the bonds of karma born from the three poisons are exhausted, so they are called Kṣapaṇa. The living is the sentient, believing that the four elements such as earth have consciousness, and that elements such as earth, trees, and sentient beings have one to five senses. Sound, smell, taste, light, sky, shadow, rainbow, image, etc. are inanimate, that is, without consciousness. At the time of liberation, reaching the peak of existence.

Because it turns into a white like white lime, they consider liberation to be corporeal. Although all knowable things are diverse from the perspective of place, time, and number, their essence is one, so the echo neither changes nor does not change. They say such things. Because the general name includes the specific name, these people are also called wanderers and strange ones. They are the Brahma-pas, because they consider Brahma to be a god; they are the Jina-pas, because they consider Brahmins to be victorious teachers; they are also called Aharata (Sanskrit Devanagari: आहारतः, Sanskrit Romanization: āhārataḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: worthy of offering). From the classification of asceticism: Keshotguncanam (Sanskrit Devanagari: केशोत्गुञ्चनं, Sanskrit Romanization: keśotguñcanaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: plucking hair), hair pluckers; Kapali (Sanskrit Devanagari: कपाली, Sanskrit Romanization: kapālī, Literal Chinese meaning: skull-bearer), skull-bearers; and those who dwell in asceticism such as serving the five fires, fasting, and not speaking, are called Maha-prati (Sanskrit Devanagari: महाप्रती, Sanskrit Romanization: mahāpratī, Literal Chinese meaning: great ascetic), great ascetics; Rama-prati (Sanskrit Devanagari: रामप्रती, Sanskrit Romanization: rāmapratī, Literal Chinese meaning: son of delight ascetic), son of delight ascetics; Mriga-shringa-prati (Sanskrit Devanagari: मृगशृंगप्रती, Sanskrit Romanization: mṛgaśṛṃgapratī, Literal Chinese meaning: deer horn ascetic), deer horn ascetics; Krishna-mukha (Sanskrit Devanagari: कृष्णमुखः, Sanskrit Romanization: kṛṣṇamukhaḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: black face), black-faced ones; Mayura-prati (Sanskrit Devanagari: मयूरप्रती, Sanskrit Romanization: mayūrapratī, Literal Chinese meaning: peacock ascetic), peacock ascetics; Pandara-bhikshu (Sanskrit Devanagari: पाण्डरभिक्षुः, Sanskrit Romanization: pāṇḍarabhikṣuḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: white-robed beggar), white-robed beggars; Tri-dandi (Sanskrit Devanagari: त्रिदण्डी, Sanskrit Romanization: tridaṇḍī, Literal Chinese meaning: three-staffed), three-staffed ones; Eka-dandi (Sanskrit Devanagari: एकदण्डी, Sanskrit Romanization: ekadaṇḍī, Literal Chinese meaning: one-staffed), one-staffed ones; Dvi-dandi (Sanskrit Devanagari: द्विदण्डी, Sanskrit Romanization: dvidaṇḍī, Literal Chinese meaning: two-staffed), two-staffed ones; Go-shringa-prati (Sanskrit Devanagari: गोशृंगप्रती, Sanskrit Romanization: gośṛṃgapratī, Literal Chinese meaning: cow horn ascetic), cow horn ascetics. Most of the names of heretics, and so on, are mostly named from behavior and attire. The Lokayata (Sanskrit Devanagari: लोकायत, Sanskrit Romanization: lokāyata, Literal Chinese meaning: worldly) are called Lokayata, which means "world, how much is the world," because they are only dedicated to benefiting this world in this life, so they are called Lokayata. It is said that this is named by doing things in the long run. Considering its meaning, it also seems that it is called a far-thrower because it throws or abandons the affairs of the future life far away. But mainly it is named as before. The view of these people is that in the past, when the gods and asuras fought, the gods did not want to fight because they considered cause and effect to be correct. So, the god Brihaspati (बृहस्पति) wrote a treatise denying past and future lives and cause and effect. Later, although he regretted it, because the ant-castle person spread it to the human world, therefore, according to the view of these people, body and mind are one substance, like a candle and the light of a candle. There is no rebirth after death, and there is no past or future life when transferring from the previous life to this life. Likewise, they deny cause and effect, invisible beings, liberation, and omniscience, and believe that there are four elements, and all things and beings arise from them.
