Therefore, there is not even the slightest bit of newly establishing something that was not there before. Because the nature of things is uncreated, it cannot be altered by removal and placement. Therefore, for the meaning of the great equality of Dharma-nature, which is free from exaggeration and denigration, and without removal and placement, in accordance with it, if one accurately observes with a mind free from the defilement of affirmation and negation and abides in equanimity, then through the power of habituation, one will see the meaning of reality, which does not abide in any extreme, and be liberated from the bondage of conceptual thoughts of self-characteristics. The ultimate essence of the profound yoga of the Perfection of Wisdom is also taught in this way. Therefore, from the meaning of Dharma-nature without removal and placement, the conceptual thoughts of self-characteristics that have become inverted are reversed, and it is said that what is to be abandoned has been abandoned; and when the mind that is in accordance with Dharma-nature arises, it is said that realization has arisen, but this is merely a manner of speaking in terms of appearances. In terms of reality, neither abandonment nor arising is established. Here, the result is indicated by the previous statement, "Entering into that omniscient wisdom." The nature of the peak of the path of seeing has two aspects: actual meditative equipoise and subsequent practice. The first, in the extensive sutras, such as, "Subhuti, this Bodhisattva gives alms," etc., as explained earlier in the stage of application, each of the perfections, such as generosity, contains within it all the dharmas that are realized to be without self-nature, and this is contained within a single moment of perfect forbearance. This is considered to be the path of seeing in the context of teaching the peak application. Or, because it is a rare wisdom that possesses the aspect of skillful means that is complete with the thirty-six distinctions of liberation from it; or, it is called the wisdom that sees the nature of all aspects of skillful means, such as generosity, as emptiness, that is, abiding in the inexpressible equality of appearance and emptiness with the manner of the disappearance of dualistic appearances. The second is that after the forbearance of the path of seeing, in order to be liberated from what is to be abandoned by seeing, one enters into a samadhi like a fearless lion stretching out, and thereby realizes the arising and ceasing of dependent origination. It is said that after attaining the path of seeing, again abiding in the samadhi of Dharma-nature, that power...

It is said in the sutra that other samadhis of the noble ones are also known as the Lion's Leap through the practice of the path of meditation. Furthermore, according to some treatises, the liberation path that arises after the uninterrupted path of seeing is identified as the Lion's Leap. It is said that after that, one can contemplate the arising and ceasing of dependent origination. Therefore, it is thought that since the nature of the path of seeing is encompassed by forbearance, its path of liberation obtains the Lion's Leap. In this regard, only the uninterrupted path is shown as the peak of the path of seeing, because that is the actual nature of the path of seeing, and the path of liberation is its continuation or fruit, which is what it actually indicates. In this sutra, the samadhi of the path of seeing is taught, and the Dharmadhatu Suchness, etc., are one verse. The fact that the one on the path of seeing directly realizes Suchness is also not abiding by way of focusing on the Dharmadhatu Suchness, because if that were the case, it would entail the fault of appearing as object and subject, and therefore it would not be suitable as a samadhi in which dualistic appearances are extinguished. Therefore, the wisdom that has realized the nature of the union of appearance and emptiness, and has attained the self-nature of no refutation and no establishment, abides without relying on any object of focus, like a cloud in the sky. So, how does it abandon what is to be abandoned on the path of seeing, and generate hundreds of thousands of twelve qualities? Because one sees the meaning of the nature of reality, and abandons the thoughts that are contrary to the nature of reality, even though there is no conceptualization, it effortlessly produces the fruit of qualities. For example, holders of knowledge mantras, who have no dwellings, etc., when they travel in the sky, if they want to abide, they will magically display beautiful gardens decorated with flowers, etc., and magnificent palaces, even at inappropriate times, in the sky itself. Therefore, from the illusory liberation of not clinging to things, one can freely pour forth the desired qualities. Second, "Thus conduct," etc., is one verse. A Bodhisattva who practices such a path of non-conceptualization, who is skilled in the conventional and has clear wisdom in the ultimate, is one who directly enters Suchness in samadhi, like the Lion's Leap samadhi, and is not defiled by worldly attention, so he can perfect diligence.
