Until the end of future kalpas, constantly persevere, and through deeply knowing the absence of inherent existence, not even a particle of weariness arises towards that state. Third, explaining the practice of skillful means in union, divided into three parts: brief explanation, extensive explanation, and summary. The first part, one verse such as Bodhisattvas: Bodhisattvas practice and abide in the mother of the victorious ones, the Prajñāpāramitā, in all ways. How is that practiced? Through the power of the wisdom that is the subject, knowing that all these dharmas, such as the aggregates, are empty from the beginning and without arising, abiding in equality in the meaning of dharmatā in a non-dual way, yet just as when not abiding in equality, great compassion arises for the immeasurable and countless realms of sentient beings, and one does not merely remain in the peaceful realm of dharmadhātu because of abiding in equality, thereby abandoning the benefit of sentient beings, because one has obtained the profound and excellent yoga of the union of wisdom and compassion. Even in the intervals of engaging in various benefits for sentient beings, one does not degenerate from the Prajñāpāramitā, which is the abiding in non-abiding, because one has obtained the skillful wisdom that is non-dual with wisdom and compassion. Here, "not abiding" refers to compassion arising for the deluded realms of sentient beings who have not abided in the profound meaning of dharmatā, and compassion arising for the realms of sentient beings when the Bodhisattva himself is not abiding, and in those times when one is between the union of wisdom and compassion or as if abiding in an intermediate state, one does not degenerate from the power of the Buddhadharma, etc., because one possesses such skillful means, and it is also explained as not manifesting a merely peaceful state. In any case, it is explaining the nature of the skillful means of the union of wisdom and compassion. The second part is explained through eight similes: the simile of illusion explains not abandoning sentient beings, the simile of the vessel explains perfecting the power of aspirations, the simile of a flying bird explains not falling even without support, the simile of shooting an arrow explains staying without perfecting, the simile of magical transformation explains staying without delaying

Homage. Like the example of holding an umbrella, one will not ultimately fall. Like the example of a helmsman, one accomplishes the benefit and happiness of oneself and others. Like the example of a merchant, one is skilled in the path and so on, eight in total. First, for example, the three verses of a man and so on. If one asks, what is the skillful means of uniting wisdom and compassion? Then, explain it sequentially with examples. First, for example, a man who is skilled in the means of subduing enemies possesses all virtues. This is a brief indication. If one asks, what virtues does he possess? Then, explain the situation in detail: one's own body and mind become strong, and one strives to do what others cannot do. What is that? Like this, because one is proficient in artistic activities or rituals such as jumping, one is proficient in archery and other throwing techniques, as well as many other crafts. Moreover, one is skilled in illusion, understands how to manifest illusions in various ways, and is very eager to walk the right path, or as the commentary says, is a compassionate person who strives for the benefit of others. Such a man gathers his parents and wife completely, and goes on the path to a solitary place full of enemies. When the enemy's army comes, this man, because he himself is not timid, is brave, and manifests many courageous men who can resist the enemy, so that the enemy and others cannot cause any harm, and he safely reaches the place he wants to go, and safely returns to his home. Similarly, when a Bodhisattva is practicing the path, just like this example, when engaging in benefiting others, the Bodhisattva who is skilled in means also generates great compassion for all realms of sentient beings. And having surpassed the four maras, such as the son of the gods who become obstacles to the Mahayana path, as well as the two grounds of Hearers and Solitary Realizers, he abides in the supreme Samadhi endowed with the three liberations, and in the manner of realizing the only true and peaceful realm, he does not touch Bodhi. In general, if one says that the limit of Suchness is only that which is devoid of all elaborations, then like those great Bodhisattvas of the pure lands whose non-conceptual wisdom that has fully matured and is mixed with it in a single taste, are peaceful.
