Because it is impossible. In ultimate truth, no phenomenon is found at all, and Madhyamikas consider that the two, namely, merely nominal designation in conventional truth, have the same meaning. However, the proponents of realism argue by holding that emptiness and the appearance of dependent origination are contradictory. What is refuted by ultimate analysis is absolutely non-existent even in conventional truth, and everything that exists in conventional truth is not refuted by ultimate analysis. On top of the objects of refutation, which are conventional phenomena, they conceptually construct the object to be refuted as a completely fabricated entity, or emptiness that is refuted by names such as truly established. They consider the object of refutation and appearance to be a union, like a rabbit's horn and a cow's horn. This is considered to be emptiness as a non-affirming negation, and if analyzed in the end, it does not go beyond the scope of realism. This has already been well proven by previous logicians. To say that something arises from both self and other is to incur the fault of asserting both sides, and it is not accepted that both are true. If it is thought that things do not arise from both self and other, but rather arise without cause, as refuted above in the context of tenets. Thus, if analyzed by the logic of the four extremes of arising and ceasing, no phenomenon arises at all. Therefore, other distinctions such as abiding and ceasing are also not found. It should be understood that merely appearing without ceasing and establishing it is the very nature of peace, as explained in detail in the Madhyamakavatara. Furthermore, it is not established no matter how one analyzes the four possibilities of many causes producing one effect, similarly, many producing many, one producing many, and one producing one. If one thinks that many causes such as object, faculty, attention, and appearance produce one effect, which is eye consciousness, then, although the causes are different, the effect is not different, and produces one. Therefore, it would follow that the non-different cause is without cause. Similarly, because there is no difference, it does not produce a non-different effect. Difference and non-difference, or many and one, would become without cause. Because there is no phenomenon that is not included by many and one, everything included by them would either always exist or not exist at all. If many causes also produce many effects, such as the immediately preceding attention producing the self-knowing nature of eye consciousness, the faculty producing the one that apprehends the object, and the object producing its own aspect, then, because the distinctions produced by each cause are not different

If consciousness is multiple, if it is thought that those causes produce results, not producing eye consciousness, but each producing differences, then eye consciousness with differences will have no cause. If those differences are not different from one consciousness, then the assumption that multiple causes do not produce multiple results is meaningless, because it will become producing one result, and the faults there have been mentioned above. If it is thought that although the essence is one, there is no fault in assuming difference through reversal, then after the causes act on the assumed dharma, they do not produce a real consciousness, so consciousness becomes without cause. The fruit's essence is one, but the differences are many, then dharma and the possessor of dharma will also become different. If it is thought that, like a blue lotus, one cause produces its own kind, and produces other eye consciousnesses, etc., there are cases of producing multiple results. Then, is it produced by only one cause? Or is it produced together with others? If it is like the first case, then difference will become without cause, and one cause does not produce one result, so one and many become without cause, as before. If, like a blue object, it also relies on appearance, sense power, and attention to produce eye consciousness, if it is said that others also produce like this, then the fruit to be produced will not be just one, because the differences of each cause are the reason for producing multiple differences. If it is said that one cause produces one of its own fruits, then, like the eye sense, it only produces its own kind, and does not do the work of producing eye consciousness, etc., therefore, beings become deaf and blind, etc., which will become a great harm. This is the reasoning spoken from the Madhyamaka Two Truths. Furthermore, if multiple causes produce one result, if it is thought that the result does not have multiple dharmas, then a single dharma without multiple is impossible to be true. If multiple produce multiple, the action of multiple causes producing one result is impossible, therefore, it is meaningless for multiple causes to gather together. It is also impossible for one to produce multiple to have only one indivisible part, and it is impossible for one cause to produce a result without relying on others. It is not one producing one, because it contradicts the way of causes and conditions gathering to produce various kinds of results. Therefore,
