If the vows regarding the meaning stated are contradictory, then whichever of those two has the valid means of direct perception, that will become a harm to the other contradictory side, because the contradictory side does not hold up while itself is certain to hold up. If possessing a valid means harms the one without a valid means, and it is not the case that scripture is always a harmer, then for most of the meanings explained by scripture, there could also be vows that contradict reason, therefore, how does something that is only equal in its own words and ability harm the subsequent inference that has the same meaning as the one who made the vow? It is reasonable to refute the unreasonable with reason, but to say the opposite is a sign of an unskilled person. If you think that your own words and the scriptures are not the same, because they are scripture, then if it is not pure by examination, how is it established as scripture? Because it is the word of the author who has errors, there is no difference in the words themselves. Therefore, those who hold onto scripture with false pride, without special confidence in the purity of examination, are valid means merely by obtaining the name of scripture, which has already been completely refuted. Therefore, scripture never harms the meaning established by the reason of direct perception. Second, identify the scope of scripture's exclusion. Therefore, it is shown that it must be established separately. First, scripture is not a harmer in the realm of direct perception, and reason must purify scripture, therefore, after examining it first and promising it to be completely pure scripture, for those who measure what is extremely obscure like scripture, it is thought that this fault of scripture harming exists, and not otherwise, therefore, after examining it first and promising scripture, it does not harm one's own scripture because it is established by reason. After promising scripture first, and then examining it with reason later, the fault of contradicting one's own scripture arises. Second, if scripture is promised, then one must rely on it, therefore scripture harms the vow that contradicts scripture, therefore, because the object to be measured is subsequently inferred based on scripture, although promising scripture as a valid means from subsequent inference is not an outsider, that is, it becomes something else, in order to show the difference that the object of scripture is extremely obscure, therefore, the exclusion of scripture is separated from subsequent inference. Established separately by object.

If it is not like that, it is not reasonable, because if it is said that "it is excluded because the result itself is not determined," then all inferences must be distinguished, which is too much. Or, rather than making "excluded by inference" as one, it would be meaningless to make "confident inference" a separate category. Second, refuting the debate on exclusion by scripture: It is meaningful to state one's own words separately. Even if scripture is accepted, it is not harmful to everything. First, from the perspective of reasoning, examples such as "my mother is a widow" are excluded by one's own words. And for examples of exclusion by confidence or scripture, like the Vaibhashikas proving that sound is permanent, how can they be given as different examples? The reason for keeping one's own words distinct from confidence is to show that even if one does not rely on scripture, one's own words alone can hinder the expression of vows. Because the obstacle that prevents the object to be proven from being established is the same whether it is caused by one's own promised words or by scripture, it does not contradict whether they are combined into one or separated. Second, if the debater has already promised that the scriptures are the measure of all things to be measured, then does he think that all things that contradict it will be harmed by the scriptures? If the debater does not accept that scripture, then will it harm the object to be proven? If it does, then the Buddhist scriptures will also harm the Vaibhashika's proof that sound is permanent. If it does not, then even if scripture is accepted, it will not harm, so in the realm where reason can decide, whether or not scripture is accepted, scripture does not act as a harmer. If it is said that because it was promised before, contradicting the scriptures will harm because the debater's own words contradict, then, as said above, there is no different power in contradicting one's own words and the scriptures, it only becomes an obstacle to the debater's words, and cannot harm, as said before. If it is thought that because scripture is valid, it can harm, then without a reason for establishing validity, if it is made valid by a person's desire and it is said that it is valid, then this scripture will become completely valid, which is very strange, it is a joke. Because if something becomes valid simply because it is considered valid, regardless of whether it is true or false in reality, then one's own words will also become like that, therefore, the object to be proven will not be established.
