Since the cause, the Lord, has no difference in before and after, and in essence, such a Lord is not any cause for producing or not producing. Therefore, if one considers such a harmless and useless thing as a cause, it is too extreme. For example, the cause of making a wound is a weapon, and the cause of healing a wound is medicine and mantras, etc., which have a connection. Even if a wound and scar appear on a black body, why is a tree stump, which is unrelated to the two causes of making a wound and a scar, not considered the cause of those wounds and scars? Because one should not consider an unrelated Lord as a cause. Third, the text and the refutation of its answer. First, the way in which following and reversing cannot be established. Therefore, it is said to be too extreme. First, because it is believed that the Lord is of a permanent, single nature, without different differences in before and after, and in ability. These sequentially arising fruits and various different things also cannot be produced by that cause. Because a permanent cause never changes, it is difficult to understand that it has the ability to produce a result. Just as knowing that there is no smoke when the fire goes out, and thus knowing that the fire has the ability to produce smoke. However, if a certain result disappears, then its cause, the Lord, still exists as before. If it is the Lord's ability, then the result should not disappear either. Therefore, this is not the Lord's result, but merely disappears because its own cause has disappeared. One will never know the Lord's ability. Therefore, admitting cause and effect is done by seeing following and reversing. If one admits it without clearly recognizing this, it is meaningless. Second, whichever causes exist, whichever results will arise, and if they do not exist, they will not arise, that is its cause. If one thinks that things that are unrelated other than those causes are also its cause, then not only the Lord, but also rabbit horns and the sky, etc., will become causes, so all things will also become causes without end. Second, the refutation of the answer. Refuting the two uncertain examples separately. The common meaning is to summarize. First, if the Lord has no differences, then it should not produce results, which is uncertain. Taking the external as an example

If it is said that there is no difference between the states of aggregation and non-aggregation for land, seeds, water, etc., but for the sake of producing fruits and seedlings, then it is not established that there is no difference for them, because only difference exists. How so? For the production of seedlings, seeds, land, water, etc., after completely transforming their nature from the previous state of not producing, they become the direct cause of that fruit, otherwise, like the previous state, even if aggregated, they will not produce. The reason why there is a difference is also because when those causes are well handled, the difference of that action can be seen. What is it? Because after the difference in cultivation methods is well handled, more and better fruits can be produced, this is because there is a difference, if there is no difference, those actions will be in vain. Also, taking internal Dharma as an example, if when objects, forms, etc. and faculties, eyes, etc. are aggregated, the object and faculty have no difference from before in their own essence, if they exist, one should also be able to observe the difference that is different from before, even if it is not observed, it is the cause of producing the wisdom of faculty consciousness, then, just like this, isvara (自在天) is also no different from before, is it also the cause? No, because the object faculty also has a difference that is different from before. If there is no difference, then when each cause exists separately in the state of non-aggregation, there is no ability to produce fruit, those aggregated, because there is no difference from the previous nature, so even if aggregated, they are still unable to do so as before, so there is a fault. The aggregation produces fruit, therefore the difference between aggregation and non-aggregation is established. Second, as just said, each cause exists separately, there is no ability to produce any fruit, if they aggregate with each other, they can produce the merit or ability of the fruit, those are the causes, not isvara etc., because isvara etc. are permanent dharmas, and there is no different difference from before. Second, establish the reasoning that can be established. Summarize those meanings. First, refute the view that there is no establisher. Proclaim the correct establisher. First, state the former party's view and refute it. First, the Lokayata and the practitioners etc. say: You think that isvara is valid, but you do not have the sign that can know that it is valid. Such a valid one is the establisher of
