In order to examine pervasion. Even in the case of the property of the subject, it is not necessary to grasp the collective meaning. Examining its limits, and also the establishment of types of reasons and types of intelligence, it would be easier to explain them separately, so we will explain them in that way. In this occasion of explaining the treatise, because we only explain the true meaning of the treatise, in order to easily generate wisdom, we want to explain it in that way. The so-called "thatness" refers to the fact that on the subject, there are many parts that should be refuted or established, and among them, according to the situation, the dharma to be established, such as impermanence, and the reason, such as being made, if it has the characteristics of a reason, then there is a consequence if there is a reason, and if there is no consequence, there is no reason, and it must be understood that it has pervasion through the determination of valid cognition. Secondly, the characteristics, the reason, and the three correct ones are explained in detail. To show the nature of the three reasons for understanding. Refuting other limits not included therein. First, whatever cause produces a result, how many natures of things must be assembled, and if any one of them does not exist, then the result will not occur, that is certain. Therefore, the result is the correct reason for establishing the existence of the cause. Among them, there are five types, such as establishing the substance of the cause. The nature of any dharma that exists, and the essence that is essentially related, is also a correct reason. For example, once water is formed, it is necessarily wet. Once sound is formed, it is necessarily impermanent and made, because these three have a unified relationship in meaning. In the case of other similar confusions, it is impossible to determine it as impermanent, such as using the reason of being made to establish that sound is impermanent, this is the correct reason of nature. The two, result and nature, are the reasons for establishment. From the perspective of the reason for refutation, two types are mentioned: non-apprehension of the invisible and non-apprehension of the visible. The first type is that for a person who has become accustomed to eating meat, in the place in front of him, the valid cognitions of manifest inference that establish that there is definitely meat are not applicable. Therefore, for the person who has not found the valid cognition that establishes definite existence, that place is merely non-existent or invisible. Therefore, a reason like non-apprehension of the invisible is merely the result of the fact that the term of definite existence of that place is not applicable.

It is reasonable. But that cannot definitely prove that something does not exist somewhere. The need to explain this is that, when proving that something definitely does not exist in any place, it is necessary to distinguish between what is visible and what is not, showing that visible things are negated because they are not observed. And invisible things cannot be negated merely because they are not seen, because there may be things that exist but are invisible. If someone wonders if there are things that exist but are invisible, the answer is yes, because in terms of place, time, and nature, there are three invisible kalpas. Among them, the kalpa in terms of place is like the wish-fulfilling tree of the Northern Unpleasant Sound for the people of Jambudvipa. The kalpa in terms of time is like the clouds with golden essence that appeared when the past kalpa was formed, and the pure land and retinue of Maitreya who will come in the future, which have become the meaning of kalpas for those who do not have clairvoyance now. The kalpa in terms of essence or form is like the flesh-eating demons and the intermediate state for ordinary people. Therefore, one should not judge by personal standards, nor should one slander profound Buddhist teachings that one does not understand. This principle is also explained by this. Furthermore, depending on the distinction or difference of the logic of non-observation or negation marks, there are results or functions of the terms that definitely know, say, and apply that certain things do not exist in a certain place. What are they? For example, fire, which is the opposite of the nature of cold touch, is observed, and the result of fire, which is the opposite of cold touch, such as smoke, is determined to be observed, and through these, cold touch is prevented. And, by not observing the visible cause of the object of negation, the result is negated, such as "There is no smoke in this direction because fire is not observed." And, the object of negation itself is of a visible nature, but these are not established or not observed, and through these, it is proved that it definitely does not exist, such as "In this direction, there is a dharma, a pot does not exist, because it is not observed." In this way, there are four kinds of non-observational logic that can prove that the object of negation does not exist. Among them, things that cannot be reached by place, time, and essence are visible. Even if they are visible, if they are not observed, one can know that they do not exist. And, it can be determined that the result of something that does not exist also does not exist. By observing the opposite, one can also determine that the object of negation does not exist, because of the logic that it is impossible to exist simultaneously. To this, dispel doubts.
