Pages 1 to 100. Pages 1 to 100. Sukhyatarucanidhipramāṇāvārtikāgranthaprakaṭambhāṣaṇāmabiharatismā. The treatise called "The Treasure of Eloquence," which clearly explains the text of Pramāṇavārttika, is present. I prostrate to Mañjuvajra Sharp, inseparable from the Lama. With reverence, I always offer excellent praise to the master of Dharma, for the stamen of a thousand petals of faith blooming. May that youthful sun of speech bestow the light of wisdom that pervades the sky in this world. Omniscient Victorious One and the Victorious One's sons, Unvanquished Mañjuśrī, Secret Lord Vajrapāṇi, Samantabhadra, and Dignāga, Dharmakīrti, Śāntarakṣita and his son, etc., I bow my head to the lineage Lamas. The words of the Victorious One and the Victorious Ones, which have become valid cognition, clarifying from the path of factual valid cognition, Dharmakīrti's excellent treatise is the eye of existence, the essence of reason within reason. Therefore, with a loving mind desiring to benefit others, if I make this clear explanation, may the Victorious Ones and their sons of the sky-pervading fields, with their wisdom gaze, benefit the teachings and beings. Furthermore, from the Root Tantra of Mañjuśrī: The letter "dhā" means discipline and diligence, proclaimed in the southern direction, and also repels the attacks of opponents, likewise, the mantra of discipline and diligence is also accomplished. As prophesied, like one of the six ornaments that adorn the world, the name of the venerable Dharmakīrti, like a beautiful banner, spread throughout the three realms, whose reasoning, like the roar of a lion, completely cuts off all demons and heretics, and spreads the light of the true Dharma throughout the sky. Such a great and excellent saying, possessing extremely rare and wonderful qualities, is the chief of the seven treatises on valid cognition. The extensive treatise Pramāṇavārttika, in explaining this treatise, has four points: the meaning of the name, translation, homage, the text, and the meaning of the conclusion. First, in the Indian language, "Pramāṇa (藏文, प्रमा,pramāṇa,量)" means valid cognition, "Vārtika (藏文, वार्तिक,vārtika,释)" means commentary, and "Kārikā (藏文, कारिका,kārikā,颂)" means verse. Among them, "Pra" indicates excellence and first meaning. "Māṇa" means to measure, so it means to measure first or to measure excellently, that is, to measure without error, or it refers to a new reason that does not deceive. Therefore, it is translated as "valid cognition." Like this, as the treatise to be explained, collected from all treatises on valid cognition, it is (referring to)

This is epistemology. This treatise explains their meaning without distortion, hence it is called the Explanation of Epistemology. It is composed of eight-letter praises, hence it is called a concise statement. Second, the translation preface: This treatise was translated as early as the early translation period, but the proofreading was not completed, which is clearly recorded in the Danka Catalogue and others. Later, Ma Gelo, Rog Lotsawa Chenpo, and Sakya Pandita translated and proofread it, and finally determined the translation preface, which is: Homage to the Holy Manjushri Kumara. Third, the main text is divided into three parts: 1. The limbs of composition; 2. The treatise to be composed; 3. The conclusion of the completion of the composition. The first part is divided into two parts: 1. Praise; 2. Showing the necessity of composition. The first: For the minds and mental factors of the three realms, such as attachment to self, all those that bind to samsara and bind to one's own continuum are the nets of grasping and clinging conceptualizations. With the wisdom of the antidote, completely eliminate them, making them the nature of non-arising. Extremely profound, beyond the measure of Hearers and Solitary Realizers, profound by seeing reality as it is. Vast, seeing all infinite knowable things at once, The body of the wisdom of the two wisdoms, the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-ones, perfectly accomplish the two benefits of temporary and ultimate for all sentient beings, the activity is pure, and the light of Samantabhadra, which never possesses the stains of faults, shines everywhere at the limits of space and time, I prostrate to them. This sentence can be connected to the four bodies and activities, and can also be connected to the three aspects of abandonment, realization, and activity. At the time of activity, the light of Samantabhadra, which eliminates the darkness of ignorance and shows the reality of knowable things, mainly the activity of speech, shines everywhere in accordance with the realms, faculties, and intentions of those to be tamed, this is the power of words. Moreover, Dharmakirti is also an incarnation of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, therefore, the praise here is also a prostration to the Holy Samantabhadra. Also, the first two lines pacify the extremes of conceptualization, which is the meaning of peace. The body of the wisdom of the two wisdoms is
