If it is said that wisdom does not become multiple, then, regarding this, there is no mere characteristic that is not related to the characterized, because there is no reason to establish it as a characteristic. If it is related to the characterized, then does the characterized help its own characteristics or not? If it does not help, then the characterized and the characteristic will become unrelated. If it helps, then is that ability to help the same entity as the characterized or different? The first case, for the ability that helps the various aspects of its own characteristics or becomes a cause, if the characterized, such as sound, is the nature of being inseparable in essence from them, then, if that single nature, such as sound, which has no other parts from these abilities, is grasped as a whole or completely, then the ability to help the distinctions of what is to be helped, such as impermanence, cannot be determined, because all the abilities of the helper that are inseparable from it are necessarily determined. The reason is that all those abilities are essentially inseparably related to the nature of the characterized. If one knows something like helping what is made, then it will also be grasped simultaneously that both are helping impermanence. In this way, even if it is said to grasp through different abilities, the fault of necessarily determining all abilities at the same time cannot be avoided. The second case, if the various abilities that help the characterized and the characteristic's dharma are different entities, then what are those abilities of the able or the characterized? Or not. If it is thought that way, then the characterized becomes unrelated like a pillar and a vase because it lacks the ability to help those characteristic dharmas. If the characterized itself does not have the ability to help, then another ability to help is needed between the characteristic and the characterized, and in that case, the ability itself cannot help without another ability, and the able and the ability will become other entities, etc., and eventually the ability will become endless, and there will be no help. If it is thought that ability does not need ability, but ability itself can help, then even if there is no ability other than sound, it can also be established that sound itself can help. If it is thought that in reality all the helping abilities exist simultaneously, but when grasping with wisdom, like sound, it is grasped as only helping its own characteristics, such as helping what is made, so there will be no fault of grasping everything.

You think that grasping with conceptual thought is accomplishment, but this is not acceptable to you. If sound is seen as beneficial like something made, then in this case, if it is thought that it has not been seen, then being beneficial to impermanence is also one with sound and things, because it is not other. Because of that, if grasping is beneficial to anything, then it becomes grasping everything. If everything is determined by seeing before, but later there is a confusion of grasping in a reversed way, in order to eliminate it, for the previously determined grasping, do you want to apply other inferences later? The determination by the valid inference is established by eliminating the superimposition on the opposite side, so it is an object of determination, not accomplishment. If it is just repeatedly grasping what was previously determined, then inference is not needed, because there is no arising of superimposition. So, if it has been determined before and no new superimposition has arisen, then is the mind that determines it in this way an accomplishment? No. Inference eliminates superimposition, and other than that, the conceptual thought that has been seen and determined is also the same as inference, it is only an object of elimination. The reason for that is that the object of eliminating or not having the opposite side's superimposition is the conceptual thought that enters through the way of definite grasping. Another fault is that it is unreasonable to say that what was previously determined to be grasped is again determined to be grasped by inference. What is it that is newly determined by inference, like the nature of impermanence, the sound itself is determined, and being determined as something made, etc., which the other previous determinations have not determined? Is that the object of those previous determinations? Because they were not able to determine, that is why inference is newly applied. So, it is the same for you, although everything is grasped at the time of direct perception, but you also want to apply inference later, is that so? It is not the same. On the sound of things, there are different parts of different qualities such as being able to do, impermanence, etc. Abandoning these parts, the self-character grasped by direct perception is not universally determined like grasping, because for any different quality, there is a condition that similarly leads to cognition or determination, that will become cognition. For direct perception, although the object appears without confusion, in the subsequent conceptual consciousness
