As it is said, just as it is said. Moreover, since all errors arise solely from biased conceptualizations, they should be refuted by the logic of direct perception. Any path that goes against the meaning of the profound nature of reality, its going against the logic of direct perception is its very nature. Therefore, refuting it with the logic of direct perception is like opening up the path of the sacred and sublime wisdom that transcends conceptualization, so it is extremely important. Like the example of a laxative turning into poison, one should not, with mere arrogance of biased conceptualizations, slander the meaning that transcends conceptualization, and one should not abandon the profound and secret intention realized by the Tathagata. As the Ornament of the Sutras says: "Here, first, through hearing, arises attention; from proper attention arises the wisdom of the object of correct meaning; from that, the Dharma is obtained, it exists; from that, intelligence greatly increases. When that does not have self-awareness, how can it be ascertained? I do not know, it is not the deep wisdom of the Buddha. Why is it deep? It is not the object of conceptualization. Why is the meaning of the deep one, the wise one, liberated? This matter is not suitable as a place of fear. Believing in the inferior, and the realm is also extremely inferior, surrounded by inferior friends, the Dharma that is deep and vast and well-spoken, if there is no faith in this, it is established. Following hearing, having obtained intelligence, whoever greatly despises what is heard, in countless various bodies, why does the fool ascertain it?" Thus. The Lankavatara Sutra says: "The field of activity of self-awareness, which the protectors have spoken of, is not the field of conceptualizers, nor is it the same for the Hearers." Thus. The Samdhinirmocana Sutra says: "The profound is not the field of activity of children, although the Victorious Ones have taught the unspeakable non-duality, these children, foolish and ignorant, delight in verbal elaboration and abide in duality." Thus. Self-awareness is the field of activity of characteristics, it is inexpressible and terminology is cut off, non-contention is the ultimate Dharma, that is the characteristic of transcending all conceptualizations. Thus. The Avatamsaka Sutra says: "Subtle and difficult to know is the path of the great ascetic, non-thinking,

Difficult to see in a non-place, its nature is peaceful, without cessation or arising. The wise understand it clearly. Its essence is emptiness, peaceful and free from suffering. Liberated from the continuum, they equally enter Nirvana. Without beginning or end, it is beyond words. Liberated in the three times, it is like and equal to the sky. Such as these, one should keep in mind the teachings of the Mahayana sutras. Thus, the two truths that are the objects of perception, speech, and action of this shore, should be ascertained according to the two types of reasoning that examine conventional and ultimate truths. The ultimate established meaning, the inseparable truth, which is not the object of perception, speech, and action of this shore, should be entered into the realm of the noble wisdom of self-awareness. As the sutra taught by the noble Inexhaustible Intelligence says: Furthermore, there are three truths of a Bodhisattva. What are the three? They are the conventional truth, the ultimate truth, and the truth of characteristics. What is the conventional truth? It is all that is expressed by worldly terms, sounds, and symbols. What is the ultimate truth? It is that in which there is no movement of the mind, let alone letters. What is the truth of characteristics? It is that all characteristics are one characteristic, and that one characteristic is also without characteristics. Thus, the Bodhisattva is not exhausted by teaching the conventional truth, nor does he fall into the manifestation of the ultimate truth. By the truth of characteristics, he realizes one truth and also ripens all sentient beings. This is called a Bodhisattva skilled in the truth. So it is said. In the Mahayana sutra called "The Noble Teaching on Conventional and Ultimate Truths," Manjushri said: Son of the gods, if the ultimate truth were to become the nature of the objects of body, speech, and mind, then it would not be counted as the ultimate truth, but would become the conventional truth. However, son of the gods, the ultimate truth is completely beyond all terms, without distinction, unborn, unceasing, separated from what is to be said, the speaker, what is to be known, and the knower. Son of the gods,
