The two sides are the two contradictories, the four corners are the four common uncertainties, and the center is the common non-one. As it is said. Alternatively, as an example of the common non-one uncertainty in the center, the living body is a dharma, it is with a master, because it has life. It is also similar to establish it in this way. That is, there are three situations in the concordant side: having, not having, and having both. Each of these three situations is combined with the three situations of the discordant side: having, not having, and having both, resulting in three times three equals nine. Among them, the concordant side has all, and the discordant side has none, which is the nature sign located in the upper table. The concordant side has both having and not having, and the discordant side is determined to have none, which is a suitable example for both cause and nature located in the lower table. The two situations that are opposite to this are the two contradictions located on both sides. The remaining five are uncertain, that is, in the center, neither side has them. The four corners have both sides, so they are uncertain, that is, in the first table, both sides are universally present. In the third table, the concordant side is universally present, and the discordant side has both. In the seventh table, the concordant side has both, and the discordant side is universally present. In the last ninth table, both the concordant and discordant sides have both. That is, the first three are based on the fact that the sign is universally present in the concordant side, and then the three situations of having, not having, and having both in the discordant side are combined in order. The middle three are based on the fact that there is none in the concordant side, and then the differences of the discordant side are combined as before. The following three are based on the fact that the concordant side has both having and not having, and then the three situations of the discordant side are combined in order. The examples of these are, the first of the first three, the concordant side is the sky, and the discordant side is like a vase. Similarly, the second is the vase and the sky. The concordant side of the third is the vase, and the discordant side is both electricity and the sky. The common thing in the middle three is that the concordant side is the sky, and the discordant side is both the vase and electricity. The first of the following three, the concordant side is electricity and the sky, and the discordant side is the vase, the second

Now, the similar instances are a pot and lightning, and the dissimilar instance is the sky. The third similar instance is the sky and atoms, and the dissimilar instance is action and a pot, or it can also be established as mind and a pot. Non-tangible or non-corporeal means that they do not touch each other. Moreover, although our own school considers atoms to be impermanent, if the assertions of other outsiders are taken as similar instances, it is to show that this reason does not hold true on them. With just this much, one can grasp the key points of correct reasoning and seemingly correct reasoning. The sutra says: Because all correct reasons and, most of what appears are aspects of the subject. Therefore, for seemingly correct reasons, it is necessary to show its divisions. It is said like this. This is different from the current translation of Xia Ma, and this is correct. Second, the debate and refutation on the aspect of the subject is: Saying that the sign is established as a property of the subject, if this "made" is established on sound, then because the sign is distinguished by the subject, there is no concomitance on the similar example; if it is not distinguished, the aspect of the subject will not be established. If you say so, this is a debate of those who are not skilled in discernment. Like this, for the sound of the dharma related to the subject, because the tone of the word and the way of combining the definite grasping are different, there are three ways of discernment: discernment of non-existence, discernment of existence in others, and discernment of extreme impossibility in the basis of distinction. Like the word "only" or "exactly", if this word particle is combined with a characteristic dharma, it becomes a discernment of non-existence, such as "the one who can establish the proposition quickly is only", or "there is only something made on sound". If it is combined with those who have characteristics, it is a discernment of existence in others, such as "only the one who can establish the proposition is quick" and "only on sound is there something made". If the definite grasping is combined with actions and spoken, it is an impossible discernment, such as "the one who can establish the proposition abides on quickness only", or "a cow can only give birth to a calf" and "the reason is only established on the subject" and so on. Therefore, the power of the word that actually combines the discernment is so widely known to be deeply rooted in conceptual thought, and even if such a determination is not actually combined, but the meaning of such a determination is thought of in the mind, and one wants to say it, although it is not actually said, the meaning of that determination itself will be understood separately.
