If it is controlled by that, The afflictions of the deluded mind's evil nature, and Fear and suffering are not even slightly pacified, No matter what, let your own mind's nature's reality, Be repeatedly familiarized, all the playful displays of talent, Perfecting the skill of gathering into the power of awareness, Making this the essence of practice, Is an indispensable key in the intermediate state. Therefore, day and night, at all times, With mindfulness that cherishes the self-face of one's own mind, Inseparably, single-pointedly, do not loosen the key, Otherwise, the waves of thought, meaninglessly tormenting oneself, Will not even slightly transcend this appearance, Firmly establish the witness of your own mind! Like that, on the traces of repeated familiarization, Once you have confidence in the self-appearing, self-controlled awareness, There is nothing that is not gathered under the power of appearance and existence, Like a fearless lion seizing the summit of a snow mountain. All appearances and existences dawn as the pure land of the Dharmakaya, That which dawns is liberated upon oneself. The yogi who has attained stability, how happy is the mind! Recognizing the face, perfecting talent, and attaining stability, these three, are the three key commitments of yogic practice, How happy is the person who practices like this! This is the advice of Manjushri Vajra, may it be virtuous! On the sixteenth day of the tenth month of the Fire Bird year. May there be auspiciousness! The examination of the key point of nature, without bondage or liberation, called "Looking at the Mind as a Mirror of the Sky," is complete. Homage to self-awareness, Samantabhadra, Manjushri! This awareness that is not established as being, Is self-born wisdom, devoid of beginning and end. If it is seen through the path of the guru's instructions, It is the co-emergent wisdom of the indicative meaning. This is the reality of the indicative meaning, For this reality, the mind cannot alter it. This is the suchness of all phenomena, Transcending cause and condition, free from change in the three times. Not measurable by the mind, the innate, own nature, All kinds of phenomena are equally perfected in it. The display of talent of this, the eight consciousnesses appear as mind. In the mind, various appearances of samsara and nirvana dawn. Whatever dawns is self-liberated in the ground of essence, In essence, there is no benefit or harm, acceptance or rejection. Like that, without knowing the way of abiding of the essence, Clinging to talent as self, and increasing grasping and fixation, In that, experiencing various kinds of happiness and suffering, benefit and harm, Although it appears, it is not established in that way, But one's own discriminating thoughts control and create benefit and harm. Since beginningless time

Until now, whatever joys and sorrows are experienced in this samsara, Are unestablished, merely the magic of the emptiness of one's own mind. Self-appearance unceasing, just a wondrous illusion. The essence of mind, clear and empty, indivisible, Neither samsara nor nirvana, in no way tainted. Even if experiencing the suffering of the uninterrupted hell, There is not the slightest degradation thereby. Even if experiencing whatever happiness of existence, There is no change in this nature thereby. The faults and virtues of experiencing joy and sorrow, Like painting colors on the sky, do not adhere. Just as a jewel is transformed by colors, Temporarily appearing there, one clings to it as such. Through the power of conceptual thought, various designations, And various kinds of philosophical tenets are proclaimed. All the phenomena of mind established by thought, Seem to be real in one's own perception, but are not. Unestablished in reality, they vanish into their own ground of being. If one knows the meaning of the nature of non-action and non-grasping, Then by knowing one's own nature, all phenomena are liberated in their own place. The cage of extremist philosophical views also dissolves in its own place. All appearances and existence dawn as the realm of the Dharmakaya. Primordial liberation, self-liberation, arising liberation, equally liberated. Transcending deliberate clinging, refutation, acceptance, and rejection of dharma. With the essence, nature, and embodiment of compassion, The realm where all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are equally perfected. The single bindu, the meaning of self-arisen wisdom, Whoever realizes it is called the Great Perfection. This is the single vehicle of the result, the pinnacle of all vehicles. Other than this, those with acceptance and rejection, refutation and establishment, Are called vehicles of the path fabricated by the mind, All of them are steps on the path to enter into this. The distinctions of philosophical tenets, the sequence of vehicles, And all the establishments of grounds and paths, By repeatedly contemplating this great confidence of understanding, One will attain the ultimate in effortless equanimity. By following after the conceptual thoughts of one's own mind, One is bound and liberated accordingly by the power of conceptual thought. If one knows the meaning of the nature of non-conceptual equality, Then from the beginning, there is no object of bondage and liberation. Like a dream, deceived by one's own mind, In this samsara, the portion of happiness, No matter how much one experiences, no one is satisfied, Even experiencing hundreds of sufferings, one does not know weariness. Thus, the endless appearances, One's own mind self-bound, revolves like a string of beads. If one realizes the meaning of the nature without bondage and liberation, Then one will attain immutable great bliss.
