One should properly and truly understand all the essential instructions on mantra purification and recitation methods by means of cleaning the site and reciting mantras, etc. Secondly, there are three types of recitation: mental recitation, silent recitation, and vocal recitation. The first is to visualize the mantra garland and seed syllables in the heart, and then mentally recite them repeatedly as if one's own sound is resounding there, without any effort such as moving the lips. Among these, there is mere mental recitation, and when combined with breath, there are three types: blocking recitation, vajra recitation, and vase-like recitation. The first is blocking the life force, which is also called restraining recitation, because life is breath and activity, that is, memory or the movement of the mind. By restraining all the movement of breath and mental activity inward and reciting mentally, the activity of body and speech is naturally stopped, and special qualities are accomplished. The second is to combine the three states of arising, entering, and abiding of breath with the mantra, so that the visualization is not distracted. The third is to combine the practice with vase-like breathing, which has four elements, and perform mental recitation. The second, silent recitation, is without sound, but the activity of the lips and throat moves slightly, and the sound is recited in a whisper. The third, vocal recitation, has six aspects: The first is the vocal recitation of the mantra's letters, with the sound neither too loud nor too soft, the speech neither too fast nor too slow—these four points—and not like speaking to others, not reciting in a distracted state, the syllables of the mantra are not missing, not excessive, and even the subtle details such as head rotations are not lacking, the sound is pure, the pronunciation of each letter's place of origin and function, etc., is not reversed, clearly uttering the sound, the sound is clear, reciting with these ten qualities. The second is the cheek-blowing exhalation recitation, placing the tongue against the upper palate, exhaling through the nostrils, like the sound of a bee, the abdomen slow and the duration long, following the natural force of the cheek-blowing exhalation, reciting the sound slowly. The third is the chanting in the manner of Brahma's voice, the voice melodious, subtle, and long, with trills of ornamentation, closing the teeth, reciting with a captivating demeanor like Brahma's voice. The fourth is the chanting of emitting a sobbing and grieving sound, closing the lips, placing the tongue against the upper palate, with a subdued tone, like a camel that has lost its young, sobbing and grieving.

recited in the manner of... Fifth, the tone that is deep and loud like a dragon's roar is like the sound of a dragon, with a high and strong tone, the words are slightly faster, and the sound of "ang ang" is like a rushing stream flowing from a rock crevice. Sixth, the wailing sound of a Vajra Rakshasa is like closing the lips and putting a bee in a jar, the words are unclear, the sound is loud, like the wailing sound of an angry Rakshasa. These are also called the six tones, which are Jiang Ga De'u, Bang Ga De'u, Brang Ngewa, Dung Ngewa, Shar Tapa, and Gar Tapa in order. These tones should be used according to the specific situation. In addition, the Rakshasa's wailing sound is Shar Tapa, the dragon's roar is Gar Tapa, the breath is Jiang Ga De'u, the nasal sound is Bang Ga De'u, the recitation of mantras is Brang Ngewa, and the Brahma sound is Dung Ngewa. There are other classifications for the six tones. When reciting in this way, one should have mindfulness, awareness, and caution, abandon the distractions of the three doors of body, speech, and mind, recite according to the Dharma, and not be separated from view, practice, and conduct. Third, the post-practice, that is, the activities during the session breaks. If adverse conditions such as greed for enjoyment arise, one should know that they are obstacles and abandon them. If unfavorable things such as illness, evil spirits, and increased delusions arise, one should think that this is eliminating bad karma and not be discouraged. All that is said in the scriptures to harm the accomplishment of mantras, such as regression and association, should be discarded far away. Meat, alcohol, etc., which are prohibited at other times, should be blessed with mantras and mudras in the context of secret mantras to make them beneficial substances. As favorable conditions for accomplishing mantras, one should accumulate merit and purify obscurations as much as possible. In order to purify one's own continuum, one should firmly hold faith, vows, and commitments. One should strive to practice the key instructions that increase the power of mantras, such as reciting Āli and Kāli. All clothing, ornaments, food, and drink should be blessed with mantras and mudras to make them the play of wisdom. In this way, by abandoning adverse conditions and gathering favorable conditions, one should complete the activity of mantra practice with tireless diligence until the mantra is accomplished. Fourth, the necessity is the activity that acts as the cause and condition for arising and increasing the deities of the mandala, and transforms into the nature of the essence of wisdom, and becomes the mudra of Dharma, thereby making the deities extremely pleased, and making the Buddhas
