Each possessing individual merits, and the yogis and yoginis suitable to gather in that profound mandala, their number is equal to the number of deities practiced. Fifth, the necessities of life, such as food, medicine to ward off illness, necessary items, and the four requisites for practice, should be prepared without omission. In this way, entering into the profound practice with the five perfections, through the four stages of approach and accomplishment, is as follows: first, approaching by pleasing the deity; then, the close approach, which is directed towards the accomplishment of siddhis; then, accomplishing the siddhis; and the great accomplishment, which is the complete accomplishment after obtaining the siddhis. Furthermore, in order to eliminate obstacles, external boundaries should be established, demons suppressed, and internal boundaries established, and then the mandala should be constructed. Among these, the mandala deity, the guru, the substances, the disciple, and the deity's vestments are the preliminaries; in the body of the subdued Matrams, in a blessed place, a mandala of images is drawn, and the substances for practice are arranged therein, and all other implements are blessed according to the proper manner, which is the main practice; reciting and making various offerings to that mandala; and entering therein and receiving empowerment is the subsequent practice, up to this point is the approach. Then, properly arranging the practice liturgy, striving in recitation and meditation, and seeing the signs of approaching accomplishment is the close approach to the deity. Then, if it is a peaceful deity, transforming into a wrathful deity, or if it is the peaceful or wrathful deity previously practiced, focusing on the visualization of the merging stage, striving in recitation, enjoying the bliss and emptiness of food, drink, ornaments, and other desirable qualities, and pleasing the deity through dance, mudras, and so forth, and through practice, the stable signs of accomplishment become manifest, this is the accomplishment. Then, obtaining the accomplishment is the great accomplishment, that is, during the one session from sunset until the pre-dawn twilight, taking the merging stage as the path at dusk and obtaining accomplishment from the deity; taking liberation as the path at midnight and obtaining accomplishment from the enemy; and taking union as the path at dawn and obtaining accomplishment from the consort, in these three ways, the body, speech, and mind accomplishments of the mandala deity are obtained. Relying on such a tsok practice, the wisdom of example and meaning arises in stages.

Having been guided in this way, one will abide in the holy ground. If one has already attained the previous realizations, then until the union where there is no need to learn further, one will increase more and more, and thus one will accomplish the four vidyādharas. Third, regarding the method of practice: the way to practice, and the result of practicing in this way. The first also has two stages, the generation stage and the completion stage. In the first, one focuses on the object of focus, such as the statue of the deity placed in front, and becomes accustomed to it. By perfecting the five experiences, one becomes skilled in the yoga of seeing existence as the deity's form, which is accomplishment. Furthermore, receiving empowerment, keeping vows, and learning instructions are the limbs of approach. Meditating single-pointedly on the deity is the limb of near approach. Gaining stability is the limb of accomplishment. Achieving perfection is the limb of great accomplishment. Second, the completion stage has two types: the completion stage with means and signs, and the completion stage without signs arising from means. The first is to rely on one's own body, and through the subtle channels, wind yoga, and fierce heat, to generate the experience of bliss and emptiness, which is approach. Relying on another's body, through the union of drawing in, holding, reversing, and pervading, to manifest coemergence, which is accomplishment. There are two types. Each of these can also be divided into four types of approach and accomplishment, based on the difference between means and arising from means. For one's own body with means, there are also the stages of obtaining instructions, becoming accustomed to them, stabilizing the habit, and achieving perfection, which are divided into four types of approach and accomplishment. For another's body, there is also knowing the instructions and gathering consorts, etc., which is approach. Blessing and uniting the vajra and lotus equally is near approach. Generating the first three joys is accomplishment. Experiencing coemergence is great accomplishment. Moreover, the four joys also abide in the four limbs of approach and accomplishment, established from the perspective of the former being the cause and the latter being the result. In short, no matter what siddhi is accomplished, these four limbs are the path to actually accomplish that siddhi, and the cause of that path, the former, divided into two. For this, the internal difference can also be divided into cause and effect, so one should know that there are various ways of combining it with the complete five paths, and with a single session of practice. The second is the great perfection of signless luminosity, which is the entirety of the path with signs.
