If one repeatedly cultivates with the five kinds of equanimity, one will naturally be free from distraction and abide immovably, and thus it will be accomplished. Or, abiding with joy, generating effort, and guarding with mindfulness, abiding in equanimity, this is cultivating through four means. Or, generating joy and abiding on the object, this is two means. If one gathers them together, it is simply abiding on the object as it is, as the various stages of instructions state. The fourth, the necessity, is that the meaning established by the view of great equality will be truly attained in one's own mind-stream, which depends on the perfection of the power of samadhi. Therefore, it is extremely important, as it is the main cause for accomplishing actions and siddhis. Therefore, one must possess intelligence and a firm foundation. Although many boast of attaining the noble path with empty words, even achieving a single-pointed mind is rare in this day and age. Therefore, even the subtle actions of mantra are rarely accomplished properly, which arises from the lack of samadhi. Therefore, those who desire actions and siddhis must diligently cultivate samadhi. In short, this samadhi enters into the meaning of the view, and from its warmth, conduct arises. That which does not transcend it is the samaya. Samadhi itself also appears as the mandala. Through possessing it, one performs empowerments, sadhanas, activities, and offerings. It also blesses mantras and mudras, and therefore pervades everything. When all dharmas have certainty in the meaning of self-nature purity, great equality, one transcends the extremes of meditation and non-meditation. One should know that this is the ultimate completion of the Great Perfection Yoga of effortless spontaneous accomplishment. As this tantra says: The nature of the completely pure realm of reality, in order to freely wield it, for the sake of oneself and others and the continuum of conceptual thoughts, is the completely pure, unsurpassed peak of the Great Vehicle. And as the Guhyasamaja Tantra says: Where there is no object, there is no meditation. Meditation is the very nature of non-meditation. Thus, object and non-object, meditation is without an object. Thus, the chapter on samadhi, the perfection of meditative concentration, has been taught. Third, regarding conduct, there are four aspects: essence, divisions, the way to accomplish it, and necessity. First, the yogi, mantra holder, and truly accomplished one

Therefore, it abides in a state of equality, completeness, and spontaneous presence. Because conduct is unobstructed by anything, everything is primordially undifferentiated. As it is said, the word "Carya" means "conduct," which is the activity of the three doors of a mantra practitioner who properly engages with the objects to be practiced through the means of special methods and wisdom. Secondly, if divided from the perspective of the basis, there are three types of conduct: body, speech, and mind. If divided by nature, there are the conduct of skillful means and asceticism, and the conduct of liberation path and mindfulness. The first includes both common general conduct and special union and liberation conduct. The second, the path of liberation, includes seven types of conduct such as faith and diligence, which are gradual conduct, and the conduct of suddenness, which is conduct without acceptance or rejection, and is also described as one and eight. Furthermore, conduct includes meditating on samadhi in equipoise, and in post-meditation, viewing all appearances as illusion and enjoying desirable qualities as one pleases. There are many ways to differentiate. However, most conduct is established in the state of post-meditation, and it also transforms into various types of conduct depending on how inner heat arises and how progress is made in practice. These include the terms "with elaboration," "without elaboration," and "extremely without elaboration." There is also the conduct of a novice practitioner, the conduct of a young ascetic, the conduct of a mad ascetic who can endure adversity, and the conduct of a king who maintains stability. Furthermore, there are the conduct of Samantabhadra and the conduct of Kunrig Namgyal, and so on. The ways of naming are diverse, and the distinctions are numerous. In terms of time, first there is the conduct of entering, then the conduct of accomplishing siddhis in the middle, and finally the conduct of accomplishment. Among these, the first is to honor the teacher, receive empowerment, protect vows, and ask for instructions on how to practice, and not to transgress the teachings. The second includes all that belongs to the limbs of approach and accomplishment. The third, the conduct of accomplishment, is all the conduct that is applied to activities after siddhis have been accomplished. These three also encompass all the paths of Vajrayana. Thirdly, there are two types: common and specific. The first is: In the common vehicle, desirable qualities are shown as obstacles to the path, but what should be accepted here? Because all dharmas abide in purity, equality, and great bliss.
