ཞིང་ལྷོད་པས་ཟུངས་ལ་མ་སྣད་པ་རང་ལ་ཕུལ་ཅིག །དེ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། ལྷ་བདག་ཅག་འཚོ་བ་འདི་འི་ཕྱིར་དུས་འདི་ཙམ་གྱི་བར་དུ་ལྷའི་ཡུལ་དུ་བརྒྱུགས་པ་ལས། རི་དྭགས་ཀྱི་དཔོན་པོ་མཆོག་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་ནི་སྔོན་ཆད་ལན་འགའ་ཡང་མ་ཐོས་ན་མཐོང་བ་ལྟ་ཅི་སྨྲོས། ལྷ་གཅིག་ནས་གཅིག་ཏུ་སྨྲས་ཏེ། ཕྱོགས་ག་གེ་མོ་ཞིག་ན་མཆིས་སོ་ཞེས་གསན་ན་བདག་ཅག་ལ་བཀའ་སྩ ལ་བར་རིགས་སོ། །དེ་ལྟ་ན་བདག་ཅག་གིས་ཀྱང་ལྷས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ་ངེས་པར་འགྲུབ་པར་མཆིའོ། །རྒྱལ་པོས་བློན་པོ་རྣམས་ལ་བསྒོ་བ། ཤེས་ལྡན་དག་བཱ་རཱ་ཎ་སཱིར་དྲིལ་སྒྲོགས་སུ་ཆུག་ལ་ལྷས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ངའི་ཡུལ་ན་རི་དྭགས་ཀྱི་དཔོན་པོ་གཟུགས་སྡུག་པ་ཞིག་ཡོད་ཀྱིས་སུས་དེའི་གཏམ་ངའི་སྙན་དུ་གསོལ་ན། དེར་ངས་བཀུར་སྟི་ཆེན་པོ་བྱས་ནས་གྲོང་རྡལ་མཆོད་ལྔ་སྦྱིན་ནོ། །བློན་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལས་མཉན་ནས་དེ་ལྟར་དྲིལ་བསྒྲགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་རི་དྭགས་ཀྱི་དཔོན་པོ་དེ་མཐོང་བའི་མི་དེས་འདི་སྙམ་དུ། ཅི་རེ་ཞིག་འཁོར་རྗེས་སུ་བསྐྱང་ བར་བྱའམ། འོན་ཏེ་བྱས་པ་གཟོ་བར་བྱ་སྙམ་པ་ལས། འདོད་པ་བསྟེན་པས་ནི་སྡིག་པའི་ལས་མི་བྱེད་པ་ཅི་ཡང་མེད་པས་དེ་འདོད་པའི་རྒྱུས་བསླངས་པས་བདག་གནས་སྐབས་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་ཐོབ་ན་སྔར་གྱི་དགྲ་ལ་ཡང་ཤ་གླན་པའི་དུས་ལ་བབ་པོ་སྙམ་དུ། ཞེ་སྡང་གི་མེས་སེམས་ཀྱང་གདུང་བར་གྱུར་ནས། བྱས་པ་གཟོ་བ་རེ་ཞིག་ཞོག །ཐབས་འདི་ལས་ལས་ཀ་ཐོབ་ན་དགྲ་ལ་ཤ་གླན་པར་བྱའོ་སྙམ་ནས་ནམ་ལངས་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོའི་དགོས་པ་སྒྲུབ་པའི་མི་རྣམས་ཕོ་བྲང་གི་སྒོར་འདུག་པ་དེའི་ནང་དུ་མེ་ཏོག་ཤིན་ཏུ་དྲི་ཞིམ་པ་སྣ་ཚོགས་ཁྱེར་ཏེ་སྒོ་བ་དང་བློན་པོ་རྣམས་གཅིག་ནས་གཅིག་ཏུ་བརྒྱུད་དེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་ཐོས་པར་བྱས་ཤིང་། བཀུར་སྟི་སྣ་ཚོགས་བྱས་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ། ལྷ་ཕྱོགས་ག་གེ་མོ་ཞིག་ན་ཞུགས་ཤིང་སྣ་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་ནགས་བྱ་དང་རི་དྭགས་འདྲིས་པས་མཛེས་པར་བྱས་པ་ན་རི་དྭགས་ཀྱི་དཔོན་པོ་གསེར་གྱི་གློ་ཞེས་བགྱི་བ་རི་དྭགས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་སྟོང་ཕྲག་དུ་མས་བསྐོར་ཞིང་མཆིས་ཏེ། བདག་གིས་ལྷ་ལ་རི་དྭགས་དམ་པ་གཟུགས་མཆོག་ཏུ་སྡུག་པ་དེ་བསྟན་པར་བགྱིའོ། །རྒྱལ་པོས་དེ་ཐོས་ནས་དགའ་ཞིང་བློན་པོ་དུ་མས་བསྐོར་བཞིན་ཡ་མཚན་སྐྱེས་པ་ཡུལ་གཞན་སྣ་ཚོགས་ནས་ལྷགས་པ་དང་། ཡུལ་དེའི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་མདུན་དུ་བདར་དེ། མི་དེས་ལམ་པ་བྱས་ནས་ཕྱོགས་དེར་ཕྱིན་ཏོ། །ཇི་ཙམ་ན་བྱ་རོག་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་དང་དམ་བཅས་པས་དེས་ཕྱོགས

因田地空闲而没有祭祀诵咒，请你自己奉行吧。他们说道：“天神主宰们，我们为了生存，只是在这短暂的时间中暂居天神的领域。然而像这样的兽中王者，以前从未闻见过，那么又怎能说看见呢？”有一位天神对另一位说道：“在某一方向听说有这样的存在，那么就应当对我们赐下神谕。”如此的话，我们也必定遵从天神所赐的命令。国王于是吩咐群臣：“贤智的诸位大臣，请在婆罗那城击鼓宣布，这是天神的命令：在我国土中，有一兽中王者，形貌丑恶，若有人将此事传于我耳中，我将给予厚重的礼遇，并赐予五种城邑的供养。”群臣们听国王之命，便如此击鼓宣告。于是有一人见到那兽中王者，心想：“我该随众而追随他呢？还是应当以所作来供养他？”由于贪欲所驱，不知罪业不可为，因此被贪欲所引，若能得此际遇，便当于昔日仇敌之时，反而成为其庖厨之肉。因忿怒之火，心中煎熬，遂想：“姑且先予以供养吧。倘若凭此方式得以成就事业，便可使敌人成为刀俎之肉。”于是起身，带着欲满足国王之需的人们，前往宫门。他们携带种种芬芳的鲜花，经由门臣大臣们一一传奏，直至国王前。奉上多种供养后，他们对国王说道：“在某一方向，有一片天界之境，因各种林木禽兽环绕而显得美丽。那里有一兽中王者，号为金鬃，随从的兽群成千上万环绕而居。我愿将此形貌丑恶的圣兽王者呈献于天神。”国王闻之，心怀欢喜，与群臣环绕，吉祥之相自然而生，从他方国土有诸人前来，且当地人民也前来朝觐。那人于是启程，向着那个方向而去。就在此时，迦陵频伽鸟化身的菩萨贤者与誓愿同伴也向那个方向而行。

Because the fields were idle and no rituals or mantras were being performed, they said, “Offer it yourself.” They spoke: “Divine lords, for the sake of our livelihood, we have only temporarily entered the realm of the gods for this short while. Yet, such a lord of beasts, like this one, we have never before heard of, let alone seen—how could such be spoken of?” Then one god said to another: “If in some direction such a being exists, then it is fitting that a divine command be given to us.” Therefore, we too must surely fulfill what the gods command. The king then ordered his ministers: “Wise ministers, in Vārāṇasī strike the drum of proclamation and announce: ‘By the command of the gods, in my land there is a lord of beasts, of frightful appearance. Whoever reports this matter to my ears, I shall bestow great honor and grant the fivefold offering of the towns.’” The ministers, hearing this royal order, proclaimed it by beating the drum. Then a man who saw that lord of beasts thought: “Should I follow along with the crowd, or should I offer him something?” Driven by desire, knowing nothing of avoiding sinful deeds, he thought, “If by desire I can rouse this chance, then even former enemies may fall into my hands like flesh to the butcher.” With anger burning in his heart, he resolved: “I shall make an offering first. If by this means I obtain a position, then I will indeed make my enemies into slaughtered flesh.” Rising up, he joined those who sought to fulfill the king’s need, and came to the palace gate. Carrying many sweet-smelling flowers, they passed through guards and ministers, one by one, until they reached the king. Offering many honors, they said to the king: “In one direction, there is a divine realm, adorned by groves, birds, and beasts, beautiful in appearance. There dwells a lord of beasts, named Golden Mane, surrounded by tens of thousands of beasts. I shall present this frightful-bodied lord of beasts to the gods.” The king, hearing this, rejoiced, and with many ministers surrounding him, auspicious signs arose. People from other lands came, and the people of that land also gathered before him. That man set out and went in that direction. At that very time, the Bodhisattva in the form of the Jīva-jīva bird (Kalaviṅka), together with his vow-bound companions, also went in that direction.
