After hearing that sound, they had that container used. Then, both the Brahmin and the great physician entered the house and lived comfortably. After some time, the great physician said to that Brahmin woman, "Where are these grains placed?" She said, "On the ground." That Brahmin said, "If placed on the ground, they will be eaten by mice. Other containers, under the bed and in the house, are not visible." After a while, the great physician saw a container in one direction and thought, "The mouse must be in here." He said, "Pour the grains into this container." The Brahmin woman said, "There are precious things of mine in here, how can you pour grains in?" He said, "Put that problematic container anywhere, that would be good." The great physician also said, "The grains will be eaten by mice, they should be poured into this container." The Brahmin woman knew and was afraid, saying, "This container will be damp, and the grains will spoil." Then, the great physician said, "Brahmin woman, you don't need to worry, I won't let it get damp." After saying that, he stood up, turned the deerskin inside out, and hung it around his neck like a necklace for the sake of offering, saying, "The container is dry." He then began to burn cow dung and wood. The Brahmin woman, because of the pain and sorrow of separation, thought, "This will make me lose everything." She sent a messenger to the mouse's house, saying, "This kind of thing has happened, come quickly." Then, her father came quickly and said to the great physician, "This container, I will buy it with money." He said, "Let's talk about it at the wedding. What to do? It's worth five hundred gold coins, nothing else." Saying that, he lit torches near the container. The father thought, "This matter cannot be publicized." He gave five hundred gold coins, opened the door, had strong people carry it, and carried it back to his own house. The next day, the great physician gave one hundred gold coins to that householder, saying, "Your wife is this kind of person, be careful." After saying these things. The remaining four hundred gold coins, the great physician gave to that Brahmin, telling him to go to the dense forest and give it to the land I have established there, and said to her parents, "I am not a Brahmin, but I came to find a daughter with this kind of attire, I am the nurturer of King Śarīra-prabha."

Because he was called the 'Chief Minister, the Great Physician,' it was said: therefore you must fully protect the daughter. Having sent these golden ornaments and letters, he himself went before the king. The Brahmin went into the forest dwelling and offered three hundred golden crests with the letter, vowing: If even one part is not given, then take a wooden 'sumdong' and place it here as compensation. Seeing this, it was understood that one hundred golden crests had not been given, so he hid beneath the bed, struck a man's foot, and sought the item known as the 'wooden sumdong.' The Brahmin asked: What are you searching for here? What is in this place? It was said: Since people of the palace will come to harm, guard yourself. Thus he sought the sumdong, and when he had it, said to the Brahmin: Such a thing, if one does not know, may cause the foot to sink or a small snake to bite. The Brahmin, harboring malicious thought, caused the foot to sink and pierced it with a wooden thorn. The Brahmin asked: Why have you seized me? The reply: Because you were entrusted with four hundred crests but stole away one hundred. The Brahmin was astonished, and thought: The Great Physician and this demon are indeed one essence; the great demon has merged into one place. Therefore he gave nothing further. Later the parents came, and the Great Physician revealed the secret: that he was indeed the minister-physician. The parents and relatives all rejoiced greatly, saying: By our merit we have gained the Great Physician as kin, and thus our lineage is made illustrious. Then the daughter was bathed in the river, adorned with fine food and ornaments, made exceedingly beautiful. Soon her form became even more excellent and especially lovely. The Great Physician entered the city, and the king with his retinue was delighted. The king asked how she came. He replied: I have found a wondrous maiden, beautiful and wise, who has become my wife; will you accept her? The king said: Who else but I is worthy that she should come to you?
