It will not be exhausted and will not be completely depleted, and it will cause one to obtain the inexhaustible Nirvana. Also, In the chapter of the "Infinite Dharani of the Door of the Jewel Heap," it says, "Saying 'I prostrate to the Buddhas' is also a great lamp, and it will surely burn away all afflictions. Those who hear the names of the Tathagatas will also become a great cause for their Nirvana. Saying the names of the Tathagatas will also be separated from darkness; hearing the names of the Tathagatas will also be separated from darkness." Also, in the Avatamsaka Sutra, it says, "The Buddhas also accomplish the deeds of the Buddhas for sentient beings." Also, in the Sutra of the Wheel of Non-Regression, etc., it says, "If all who hear the name of our teacher Shakyamuni Buddha will not regress from Bodhi, what need is there to mention scattering a flower on the stupa containing the relics of that Tathagata? Even those who are born as animals, merely hearing the sound of the name, will become the seed of unsurpassed Bodhi and will gradually become Buddhas. This is the former aspiration of this Tathagata, and it is also the Dharma nature of the Buddhas." Therefore, all the roots of virtue created with the Buddha as the object, whether large or small, have immeasurable benefits and are inexhaustible. In the lifetimes of wandering in samsara, they will also become the cause of experiencing the bliss of the heavens again and again. Not only that, but they will not be wasted in the bardo, and they will surely become the cause of reaching the ultimate fruit of great Bodhi. One should generate faith in the meaning repeatedly praised in the sutras. In the chapter of the "Categories of Twin Dharmas," it says, "In the past, when a person was killed in a sacrifice, at the time of his death, due to faith in the Buddha, he said 'I prostrate to the Buddha' once. With that root of virtue, he was born as a god of the Thirty-Three Heavens for sixty kalpas, and for eighty kalpas he was able to remember his past lives. In birth after birth, he was separated from all the pain of sorrow, and as soon as he was born, he was able to avert all suffering." It also says, "Fearing the open mouth of the fierce crocodile in the ocean..."

The merchants, merely hearing the sound of reciting the Buddha's name, that crocodile closed its mouth and passed away peacefully. Having been reborn as a human, he renounced in this teaching and attained the state of an Arhat, becoming a pillar of both religious and political affairs. Also, after hearing the Dharma from the Buddha, a devoted slave girl was beaten to death by her master, and was reborn on the island of Simhala as a girl named 'Pearl Woman,' possessing an extraordinarily beautiful body and wealth, and on that basis, she realized the truth. These stories are as they appear in the sutras. Having understood these reasons, now, while we are not yet helplessly controlled by great fears such as death, we should cautiously engage in the yoga of mindfulness of the Buddha. Moreover, among the immeasurable Buddhas of the three times, whichever Buddha one remembers, all those Buddhas have the same Dharmakaya, and have reached the ultimate in abandonment and realization, so there is no difference. However, for the difficult-to-tame beings of this Sahā world, those whom other Buddhas have abandoned, it is only this compassionate teacher who embraces them with great compassion. Therefore, remembering the Buddha Bhagavan is to be aware of kindness and to repay it. Because the Buddha's coming into the world is solely for the sake of others, even if he benefits just one being, it is as if, from his own side, he has made the Buddha's coming meaningful. This is also to repay the Buddha's kindness. If we recognize that our teacher is so immensely kind and pray to him, then the teacher will also embrace us with compassion, making us a pure land that he has embraced, so compassion and blessings will naturally merge even more, this is the nature of Dharma. As it is said in the Karuṇāpuṇḍarīka Sūtra: The Buddha Bhagavan was on Vulture Peak in Rajagriha (modern Rajgir), surrounded and faced by a great Sangha of sixty-two thousand monks, and eight million great Bodhisattvas who were irreversible, and the retinue of gods, yakshas, nagas, etc., who had entered the Great Vehicle, including Brahma, the lord of the Sahā world. At that time, the great Bodhisattvas Maitreya, Meaningful to See, Lion's Wisdom, and others, great Bodhisattvas.
