Earth. It is said that the god of the ocean is inexhaustible. Moreover, even when he was incarnated as Prince Siddhartha, there was a similar instance of taking jewels from the ocean. Furthermore, in the past, in this Jambudvipa, there was a king who ruled over five hundred small kingdoms, named Jewel Armor. He had five hundred consorts and palace maids, but because he had no son, even though he prayed to the sun, moon, and other deities, he still had no son, and thus he was displeased. He thought that after his death, these small kingdoms would fight and the country would not be peaceful. Then, a deity told the king in a dream that there were two hermits in the garden outside the palace, one of whom had a golden body, and if he prayed to him, he would be reborn as his son. The king prayed to that hermit, hoping that he would be reborn as his son. The hermit also said that he would do so. Another hermit also said that he would be reborn as his son, and the king was very happy and said, "Then let it be so." Later, after a long time, that golden hermit passed away and was reborn in the womb of the great queen. After nine months of pregnancy, she gave birth to a golden boy with dark blue hair, possessing various auspicious signs. A birth celebration was held, and after the diviners made their predictions, they named the prince Good Meaning. After that, another consort also became pregnant, and that hermit who had passed away was reborn in her womb. A birth celebration was held, and the diviners named the child Evil Meaning. Prince Good Meaning grew up and became proficient in all the arts and sciences, including the eighteen branches of knowledge. Later, Good Meaning requested the king and went out for a stroll and sightseeing with great wealth. The prince continued on his way and saw poor people wearing ragged clothes, as well as those who killed animals, farmers, fishermen, hunters, and so on. When he asked them, they said, "We are poor and destitute, unable to support our families, and can only engage in this kind of hereditary occupation." After hearing this, the prince's heart was filled with compassionate tears.
