When a great kalpa occurred, beings could live to be a hundred years old, and at that time the teachings of the Tathagata Fragrant Lotus had become an image of the Dharma. At that time, I would become a powerful Chakravartin who conquered all in Jambudvipa, named Nor-ngan, and I would have a thousand sons, and I would cause them to uphold the unsurpassed Bodhi. At other times, I would renounce and cause the teachings of the Buddha Fragrant Lotus to blaze extensively. Those who did not renounce and did not want to generate Bodhicitta, there were six sons. I asked them: Why do you not renounce? They said: In a declining time, when the sacred Dharma has become an image, it is difficult for the renunciant to fully uphold all the aggregates of morality. They will be separated from the seven treasures and sink into the mire of samsara, and in the end, they will only occasionally obtain the glory of gods and humans. They will always wander in the evil realms and will not be able to properly uphold the Buddha's teachings. Therefore, we do not renounce. I again asked them: Why do you not generate Bodhicitta? They said: If all of Jambudvipa were given to us, we would generate unsurpassed, perfect Bodhicitta. Having heard this, I was overjoyed and thought: I have already caused the people of Jambudvipa to take refuge, observe the sojong, and uphold the three vehicles. It would be better to divide this Jambudvipa into six parts, give it to the six sons, and cause them to generate unsurpassed Bodhicitta, and I will definitely renounce. So I divided the entire Jambudvipa into six parts, gave it to the six sons, and I myself renounced. But those kings of Jambudvipa were in discord with each other, fighting, arguing, brawling, and conflicting, causing famine to occur throughout Jambudvipa, it did not rain, the crops and the fruits of the trees did not ripen, and the birds also became weak from hunger and thirst. At that time, I thought: I should abandon this present body and satisfy sentient beings with my own flesh and blood. So I left my dwelling.

Then, going to the center of that land, I climbed a mountain called "Ri Chu Kyong" and made a vow: Thus, giving up my own life is for the sake of compassion, not for the sake of ascending to heaven. May I become the height of this mountain, for the benefit of gods and the world. Thus, giving up this beautiful body is not for the sake of demons, not for the sake of Indra and Brahma. May my flesh and blood become numerous, for the benefit of gods and the world. All of you who dwell on mountains and rocks, gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, and humans, listen. For the sake of sentient beings, I generate compassion, and satisfy you with my own flesh and blood. When I uttered such a vow, the three realms shook, and the earth also trembled. Mount Meru also shook, and the assembly of gods wept. Then, I threw my body from the top of Mount Ri Chu Kyong. Due to the power of the vow, the body became as tall as the mountain, with hundreds of thousands of heads. The width was a hundred yojanas, and the height was also a hundred yojanas, and humans, beasts, and birds began to eat my flesh and blood. When those sentient beings ate my body, it was reborn like a single day, with a width of a hundred thousand yojanas, and a height of a hundred thousand yojanas. From all sides, hundreds of thousands of complete human heads appeared, with hair and eyes, etc., uttering sounds in human language: Hey, sentient beings, enjoy yourselves to the fullest! Eat the flesh! Drink the blood! Take whatever you want, such as eyes! May you be satisfied, may your wishes be fulfilled, generate the mind of the three vehicles! Your enjoyment will not be exhausted, nor will it be given because of your faith, may you not quickly exhaust your lives, thus making a sound. Then, the wise sentient beings, according to their respective desires, generated any one of the three vehicles. Some generated faith in gods and humans. They ate flesh and drank blood, and took whatever they wanted, such as eyes, but due to the power of the vow, the flesh did not diminish, did not run out, but was reborn, and after tens of thousands of years, satisfied all the people of Jambudvipa, as well as yakshas, birds, and beasts. In those tens of thousands of years, I was like the sands of the Ganges
