I prostrate and pay homage! Even reciting this once will lead to ultimate Nirvana. Thus, the Buddha is inconceivable, the Buddha's teachings are also inconceivable, and if one has faith in the inconceivable, its karmic result is also inconceivable. And so on. An example of how the root of virtue generated towards the Buddha is not wasted: Just as a tiny drop of water falling into the ocean is inexhaustible, even generating a single thought focused on the Buddha is never wasted. Even if those sentient beings fall into evil destinies and bad migrations due to past karma, the root of virtue previously generated towards the Buddha will be seen by all Buddhas who appear in the world, and they will be liberated from falling into wrongdoing, causing them to remember that root of virtue and attain Nirvana. Furthermore, Ananda, even the smallest root of virtue done for someone like me is not wasted, and the fruit of all those roots of virtue from generating a single thought is Nirvana. Ultimately, I speak of Nirvana. As an example, just as a fish caught in mud, even if it is in the water, will surely be taken out and dried, those who have generated roots of virtue towards the Buddha, even if they are born in a state of falling into wrongdoing due to past misdeeds, that root of virtue will be seen by the Buddhas when they appear in the world with unobstructed wisdom, and they will be taken out of that falling into wrongdoing and placed in the fruit of liberation. And if sentient beings, due to offerings to the Buddha and so on, are completely attached to samsara, even if they do not aspire to Nirvana, there is no place for them not to attain Nirvana, because the Buddha, the Bhagavan himself, is the supreme field of merit. Just as planting crops in good land, even if one says, "Seed, do not grow," it will still grow, and this is used as an example. In the future, evil-doing kings and barbarians will arise, and even if the various people belonging to them do not understand the Buddha's teachings and the Buddha's qualities, if they see the Tathagata's stupa and statue and their minds become clear, they will be gathered by the Buddha in the past through the four objects of gathering.

From the relationship of..., they obtained a pure mind. It is said that the fruit of the root of virtue of a pure mind will become Nirvana. When the Tathagata practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past, he made offerings to immeasurable Tathagatas, relied on virtuous friends, acted according to their teachings, gathered beings with the things that gather them, and with the power of perfecting various inconceivable roots of virtue, he obtained an indestructible body like a vajra. Even if Mount Sumeru and the great surrounding environment become as hard as a vajra, they cannot damage or pull out even a single hair of the fully Nirvana Tathagata. However, the Tathagata, out of compassion for sentient beings and the power of past aspirations, blesses the relics of the body to be as small as mustard seeds, thereby benefiting the sentient beings to be subdued. Those who offer and respect those relics will also attain the fruit of Nirvana. What more to say about offering and respecting the Buddha who is actually dwelling in the world and offering to the relics? If someone even sees the stupa of the Tathagata in a dream and rejoices in their heart, then this root of virtue will also ultimately reach Nirvana. So it is said. Furthermore, offerings to the Buddha are completely inexhaustible and without end. If one throws a flower into the sky with a focused mind on the Buddha, then this root of virtue is not easy to measure or show even by the wisdom of the Buddha. If fully examined, then when this sentient being revolves in the previous beginningless kalpas, even if it revolves and wanders, the complete maturation of this root of virtue is not easy to be fulfilled by the kingship of Brahma or Indra or the Wheel-Turning King, but rather tends towards Nirvana, and will eventually end in the manner of Nirvana. Therefore, a son or daughter of good family, whether wanting to obtain a Wheel-Turning King, Brahma, Indra, or the Four Great Kings, or the lord of all the worlds such as gods, nagas, yakshas, or wanting to obtain a Shravaka, a Pratyekabuddha, and unsurpassed Bodhi.
