When he had not become a Muni, we, these descendants, completely abandoned the Bodhi peace due to suffering. For the sake of the supreme Bodhi, we also donned this armor. Thus, he spoke some verses. By the touch of that vision, he placed countless irreversible beings. Furthermore, in the past, when he was called dwelling in the White Sage's place, he possessed the Samadhi endowed with all virtuous Dharmas, thinking, 'What should a Bodhisattva learn so that he may definitely arise with the Samadhi endowed with virtuous Dharmas?' Also, he will definitely arise with the Samadhi endowed with no action of any Dharma. What is the reason for that? Thinking, 'All Dharmas are devoid of action, therefore they are not made.' He arose from that Samadhi and wandered in the world, proclaiming the Dharma that is devoid of action, therefore not made, and countless beings, having heard it, obtained forbearance of the Dharma of non-arising. Furthermore, when he was called Sage Unobstructed Knowledge, he possessed the Samadhi called not focusing on all Svabhava (essence). Also, having obtained the Samadhi called all Dharmas devoid of Svabhava, for twenty-four intermediate kalpas, he fully relied on, practiced, and increased the feet of miraculous power, wandering in the inexpressible Buddha-fields of atomic dust. For twenty intermediate kalpas, he proclaimed the Samadhi of not believing in all Svabhava, not focusing, and placed countless beings in the forbearance of the Dharma of non-arising. Furthermore, the Sage called Unobstructed Knowing Vision, having become detached from desire, possessing miraculous powers and great strength through the path of outsiders, went to a solitary place and pondered: What is Dharma? What is obscuration? Again, he thought: There is no Dharma, and there is no obscuration of Dharma. What is the reason for that? All Dharmas are devoid of Svabhava, just as the sky does not obscure the sky, because the sky has no Svabhava. He arose from that Samadhi and proclaimed: Friends, all Dharmas are devoid of Svabhava, therefore no Dharma obscures any Dharma. Thus, all Dharmas

The sound of "everything is devoid of inherent existence," I carried it unhindered to the four directions. When immeasurable sentient beings heard this sound, they all attained the Samadhi of devoid of inherent existence and obtained forbearance of the Dharma of non-arising. Moreover, in the past, in the land where the king was sure to defeat the enemy, when the Tathagata named Delightful Maker (བདེ་མཛད།) came, in the assembly of Bodhisattvas, the Bhagavan himself became known as the Bodhisattva Endowed with Faith, and he praised the Mahayana. There, those of the Hearer Vehicle who did not want to remain in Samsara for a long time argued with the Mahayana practitioners, saying, "Who would enjoy this beginningless and endless cycle of existence?" and they argued with the Mahayana practitioners on the Dharma. The Mahayana practitioner said, "Venerable ones, do you know the suffering caused by this long cycle of existence?" They replied, "We do not know." The Mahayana practitioner said, "When you obtain complete possession, do you feel fear? You only think about what has not been done, but you do not think about what has been done. Venerable ones, abandoning what has been done and thinking about what has not been done, that will be terrible. If someone thinks about what has been done and not about what has not been done, he will think: I have done a lot. He who thinks about what has been done is fearless. Venerable ones, I understand the meaning of what the Bhagavan said in this way: one should fully examine what has been done, and in so examining, one will not think that I have done a lot. Venerable ones, in a past time, a sage named Red Horse (དྲང་སྲོང་རྟ་དམར།) thought: I will go to the end of the world and then die. With each step, he crossed the summit of Mount Sumeru, and although he traveled by means of miraculous power, he eventually died without reaching the end of the world. Venerable ones, the Bhagavan does not say that one can reach the end of the world with one's feet, but rather that one can reach the end of the world with wisdom. You cling to future suffering and think of it as suffering, but the great Bodhisattvas strive to go to the end of craving, and do not cling to the end of the world, so they do not feel suffering.
