Those views are seen as based on the foundation of the view of the perishable aggregate. Through the path of correct reasoning, the Dharma was taught, demolishing all views that arise from thinking that a 'self' exists, thereby establishing countless beings on the irreversible path. Again, when the greatly miraculous sage named 'Immaculate Wisdom,' having become detached through the path of externalists, contemplated: 'If what exists, views arise; and if what does not exist, they do not arise.' When he examined what it was, he saw that if the three aggregates of darkness exist, all views arise. What are those three? He pondered: 'Did I exist or not exist in the past?' Likewise, he thought and speculated about the present and the future, and because of doubt, he did not understand the truth, and thus various views arose from speculating on the two extremes. Through proper contemplation, the eye of wisdom arose, and he saw: 'Even though there is no self or sentient being here, there is karma from afflictions, and from that, the profound Dharma of dependent origination, the establishment of the aggregate of maturation, is seen.' He knew that apart from conditions, no Dharma arises or ceases. He obtained tolerance for the non-arising of phenomena and placed countless beings in non-inherent existence. Again, when the great sage named 'Wise Sage,' having become detached and greatly miraculous, was abiding inwardly, such thoughts arose: 'Alas! This world is afflicted, and it is very difficult to escape from suffering.' He also thought: 'What is the path to escape from suffering?' He thought: 'Suffering arises from thoughts, and if there are no thoughts, it does not arise.' Like that, he thought: 'The cessation of all thoughts and desires is Nirvana, which is peaceful and abundant.' He also thought: 'Do some sentient beings who have not escaped from suffering have Nirvana?' When he properly contemplated these, he thought: 'If there were any sentient beings who could escape from suffering, then because there are no sentient beings, there is no Nirvana.' However, the consciousness of sentient beings is the harm of suffering that arises from oneself. Beings seek Nirvana, but Nirvana is not other, and the aggregates are not other; the aggregates themselves are Nirvana. Why? Because not clinging to sentient beings is Nirvana.

Homage. Then, arising from that samadhi, he subsequently proclaimed a sound: One's own conceptualization is, the heap of suffering greatly increases; the absence of conceptualization is, the heap of suffering will cease; no sentient being is ever born, no dharma is ever extinguished, there is no other dharma apart from conceptualization, that is nirvana. Having heard that sound, countless sentient beings obtained forbearance in regard to the unborn dharma, and became irreversible from unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Furthermore, when he was reborn as the one named "Brahmin Boy Supreme Intellect," there appeared a sage named "Sound Manifestation," who possessed great magical powers and was without attachment. From him, the Brahmin boy, together with a thousand boys, recited the secret mantra that manifests the four great elements, which are undifferentiated and abide in the equality of the three times. At that time, the Brahmin boy Supreme Intellect became the chief of all those retinues. All the secret mantras held by the seven thousand Brahmin boys, he alone remembered, and before long, he reached the other shore of all sciences. The boy Supreme Intellect thought to himself: What is the use of holding this meaningless secret mantra, the meaning of which is not known? I should seek its meaning. So, he stayed in a solitary place, and inwardly remained in equipoise, thinking: What is this secret mantra? If it is a mandala of wind, then it is without foundation and without place. That which is aroused by the wind mandala cannot be established in directions such as the east. There, peace, taming, and subduing cannot be found, because there are no sentient beings. He pondered in this way. The Brahmin boy, together with his preceptor, remained on the wrong path, thinking: From this, afflictions will arise. At that time, the gods of the Pure Abode manifested their bodies directly from space, and praised him, saying: Well done! Well done! Son of good family, you have followed all the Tathagatas, and have well understood the path. On this path, Buddhas, more numerous than the dust particles of Buddha-fields, having become enlightened, acted for the sake of countless sentient beings, and then entered into nirvana. He arose from samadhi, and spoke these words to the seven thousand Brahmin boys and their preceptor, causing them to become irreversible from unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.
