When asked, "Who owns all that lies between the mountains, including the carries?" they replied, "It all belongs to the six ministers." The king thought to himself, "I only have control over food and clothing, and nothing else." He felt depressed and wondered what to do. A deity told the king, "Do not be displeased. In your country, in the place called 'the name of all the mountains,' there will be a son named 'Great Medicine' belonging to the 'all' that pertains to the nose. Let him be your minister. He will own the country and offer it to you, so that you will have benefit, happiness, and wealth." Then the king sent people to search for 'all' and to find out if his wife had a son. Those people investigated and, as they had heard, learned that his wife was pregnant, and they returned to inform the king. The king sent a letter to 'all,' summoned him, and with generous words gave him that mountain range, and instructed him to take good care of the child in his wife's womb, and not to let him have any defects. There, after nine months had passed, a beautiful and attractive boy was born, and they held a birth celebration and asked what the boy's name should be. The mother said, "I have been suffering from illness for so long, and the doctors have not been able to cure it, but since this boy entered my womb, the illness has been cured, so let's name him 'Great Medicine.'" She also spoke a verse: Among all the medicines, my son is the Great Medicine. This is more effective than medicine. Therefore, his name is Medicine. After that, Great Medicine rode on his father's shoulder and was taken from the middle of the street to the pond to bathe. On the ground there was a piece of fish, and the father thought it was a jewel and tried to pick it up with his toe. Your beautiful appearance is wasted like this. I will be your husband, come, let us go together.
