If the meaning of what is said is abandoned, then speaking of that treatise is meaningless, and such meaningless things are the worst even among children. Furthermore, you say: Trees with various qualities such as colors, although not created by karma, appear in their own time. If they are destroyed by burning and cutting, etc., then the destroyed objects will not grow again. Just as all the worlds are like that, they will not appear in the next life. What kind of reason or argument is this? Without distinguishing the principle that when causes and conditions gather, they arise, and when they do not gather, they do not arise, it is merely a one-sided statement. Even so, if you like nihilistic views, then what is there to blame for killing a monkey or a person? After saying these things, he silenced those people, and then summoned the one who was skilled in the royal lineage's treatises, and said to him: Why do you all slander me? If you think that the Vedic rituals for establishing political power are worth learning and striving for, then for the sake of political power, it is acceptable to do good or not to do good. Whatever is acceptable can be done. Then, after liberating oneself, one should practice Dharma with wealth. Because you have such thoughts, I say to you, even if you do not consider the way of doing good to friends and relatives in need, then I killed this monkey in order to get this monkey skin. What is there to blame in the Vedic treatises? Or if you think that it was killed because of a lack of compassion, or that the result of such actions is suffering, then do not prioritize the teachings of the Vedas. Why do you follow other paths? If speaking like this is a rational treatise, then what kind of deluded people are these? Alas! Those deceivers have used the Vedic path as a pretext to promote what is not Dharma, and you are pleased with it, thinking that it is taught by the Vedas, and clinging to it as if it were true. Then, even if a monkey is killed, it should not be blamed. In this way, among that group, having become accustomed to being bold and unrestrained, and having manifestly overwhelmed the ministers of other kings with their power, the king and his entourage knew that they were convinced and pleased, and then said to the king: I did not kill a living monkey, this is just an emanation, emanated for the sake of speaking such words.

After doing these, he said, "Please do not have other doubts about me." After saying this, he released the act of manifesting the incarnation, and the king and his entourage developed great faith in the Dharma. Clearly seeing the phenomena arising from causes and conditions, yet claiming to be able to understand other worlds at will. Verbally approving of doing good, but with a heart full of compassion. Who would kill sentient beings? Great king, please listen to me. Theorists of the royal lineage who promote nihilism and libertarianism, and do not acknowledge the existence of cause and effect, write books for the sake of a little fame. How can those who call themselves rational agree with this view? Ruler of men, which view is good or bad? Through the causes and conditions established by those who share your views, if you examine these carefully, you can clearly distinguish them through words and deeds. Therefore, one should rely on good views, because bad views lead to destruction. Stay away from bad people and associate with virtuous people, and you will understand this principle. Like this, one should associate with virtuous people, stay away from bad friends, and govern the people righteously with compassion. These teachings were all well accomplished. The king and his entourage left the path of wrong views and entered the right view, and at that moment, he flew into the sky. The people respectfully prostrated and made offerings, and then returned to the location of the monastery. Again, when the Teacher, the Bhagavan, transformed into a householder named "Joy of Solitude," like a great Sala tree, he was wealthy and possessed many riches, and was diligent in seeking good words, and there was nothing he was unwilling to give up. At that time, he heard a voice from the sky saying, "The Tathagata Amitabha has appeared, who can cut off the doubts of all sentient beings and indicate all paths." So he asked again where the Tathagata was staying, how far the road was, and so on, and according to the instructions, he gathered the ministers and the leaders of the villages and traveled eastward for ten billion yojanas, reaching the city called "Mount Meru Banner," to pay homage to the Tathagata. All the people followed behind him and went together to pay homage to the Tathagata. There, the gods made offerings to the Buddha, and from afar they saw the Buddha's majestic and radiant body, so they got out of their chariots and went to where the Buddha was.
