我所做的一切不敬之行，今天都一一忏悔。我的过失，世间怙主请您知晓。为了众生，生起慈悲心之后，我完全进入殊胜菩提，在未获得殊胜菩提之前，今后不再放逸行事。说完之后，王子舍弃王位，被八十亿众生围绕，寻求殊胜菩提，并出家于佛陀的教法中。如来也知晓他们的心意，开示殊胜菩提之道，所有人都获得了随顺的忍辱。王子诺贝（诺贝，财力之意）就是菩萨慈氏（弥勒佛）啊。如是说。又，过去在如狮子般的王宫中，有一位名为狮子鬃毛的国王，财富丰饶，如法治理国政。在那王宫中，有一位名叫狮子的船长，他的财富可以与多闻天王之子相媲美，他娶了同种姓的女子为妻，他们的儿子就是这位世尊，名叫辛格拉（辛格拉，僧伽补罗之意）的童子，相貌端正，令人喜爱。他长大后，学习文字，精通八种观察等。因此，他被安排负责冬季、春季和夏季的住所，并建造了上、中、下三种等级的妃子宫殿。在那里，他在顶层的宫殿里，没有男子，只有竖琴的爱抚。在另一个时候，他对父亲说，请允许我进入大海。父亲说：儿子啊，我有很多财富，即使像芝麻和稻米一样使用，我的财富也不会减少或耗尽。所以，只要我还活着，你就尽情玩乐吧。我去世后，你再去积累财富。他多次请求允许进入大海。父亲知道他一定会被恶鬼吞噬，被时间摧毁，所以对儿子说：就这样做吧，你要忍受恐惧。于是，他宣布，与五百名商人一同出海。在那里，他还带了五个靠酥油为生的人，包括使劲划桨的人、大游泳者和携带风帆的人，一同进入大海。

Whatever disrespect I have done, I confess them all individually today. My faults, may the Protector of the World know. For the sake of sentient beings, having generated compassion, I completely enter the supreme Bodhi. Until I attain the supreme Bodhi, I will not act carelessly in the future. Having said this, the prince renounced the kingdom, surrounded by eighty billion beings, seeking the supreme Bodhi, and became ordained in the Buddha's teachings. The Tathagata also knew their intentions and taught the path of supreme Bodhi, and all attained the forbearance of accordance. Prince Nordpal (Nordpal, meaning wealth) is the Bodhisattva Maitreya. Thus he spoke. Furthermore, in the past, in a royal palace like a lion, there was a king named Lion's Mane, who was rich and ruled the kingdom according to Dharma. In that palace, there was a captain named Lion, whose wealth could rival the son of Vaishravana. He took a wife from the same caste, and their son was this Bhagavan, a boy named Singhala (Singhala, meaning Simhapura), who was handsome and pleasing to the eye. When he grew up, he learned to read and write and became proficient in the eight kinds of examination, etc. Therefore, he was put in charge of the houses for winter, spring, and summer, and he also built three kinds of palaces for his wives, upper, middle, and lower. There, in the upper palace, there were no men, only the caresses of the harp. At another time, he said to his father, "Please allow me to enter the great ocean." The father said, "Son, I have a lot of wealth, and even if it is used like sesame and rice, my wealth will not diminish or be exhausted. So, as long as I am alive, you should play and be happy. After I die, you can go and accumulate wealth." He repeatedly asked for permission to enter the ocean. Knowing that he would surely be devoured by demons and destroyed by time, the father said to his son, "Do it like that. You must endure the fears." Then he announced that he would set sail with five hundred merchants. There, he also took five people who lived on ghee, including those who rowed hard, the great swimmers, and those who carried sails, and entered the great ocean.

Carrying planks of the silk-cotton tree, cotton pillows, a boatman's vessel, and swimming equipment, they boarded the ship. When the ship was destroyed by aquatic monsters and fish, each one rode on planks and swimming gear, and by the power of these, they were driven from the north to the southern shore. In the Copper Continent (present-day Sri Lanka), there was an island guarded by ogresses called "Young Crane Maidens," who joyfully protected the merchants whose ships had been wrecked. There were two places there, one called "Conforming to the Place of Joy" and the other called "Conforming to the Place of Poverty." When the banner of "Conforming to the Place of Joy" began to wave, those ogresses said, "From this omen, the merchants of Jambudvipa (the Southern Continent, the world we inhabit) will surely encounter shipwreck." So they went to the seashore and saw the merchants swimming towards them. They manifested themselves as beautiful women, adorned with various splendid garments, and said, "O beautiful ones like Jojo, please come! We who have no families need a family and a protector. These are your food, clothing, shelter, gardens, and so on, as well as the treasures of Jambudvipa, such as gems, pearls, lapis lazuli, and even right-spiraling conch shells. Please enjoy playing and rejoicing with us! Even if some of you become very drunk, do not go towards the southern path!" Because men are naturally fond of the form of women and are addicted to wine, there is nothing more painful and binding than this. So, after those ogresses spoke, they came out of the ocean and played and rejoiced with them, and even had sons and daughters. At that time, the captain Singhala thought, "Why are these women so strictly guarding the southern path?"
