It is good to give only moderately, but if it is excessive, even the master of wealth will be exhausted. Your household and the affairs of your subjects depend on wealth, so govern the country moderately and appropriately. After saying this, the prince said: God, if good speech can be valued, then the throne should also be given away. Because there is no merit comparable to hearing, hearing can generate wisdom and make one free from ignorance. Why not make offerings at the time of hearing? I do not need the throne, which is the source of great evil, I will go again to the Rakshasa as I promised before. After saying this, his father became very flustered and said: Son, I said that for your own benefit, do not be unhappy. Son, who would deliberately go before the enemy? Even if you promised, I will not allow it. The wise say that there is no sin in lying to protect one's life and for the benefit of the guru. Therefore, please let go of us and this evil time that does not consider one's own interests. Even if you think this violates your own oath, I have already deployed four armies for your liberation, let them surround you and go, do not become a prisoner of that enemy, there is nothing shameful in promising this, and you can also protect yourself. The prince said: God, I cannot do anything different from what I promised. Who would have compassion to transcend those who have entered the wrong path, are facing hell, and have no protection? The man-eating Rakshasa also treated me kindly and let me go. Because he let me go believing my words, I heard this good saying because of his kindness. Now is the time for me to follow him, I will not die. After saying this, he dismissed the other armies and went alone to the Rakshasa. The Rakshasa also saw him coming from afar, and the dirt that had been occupied by a rough heart for a long time mostly turned into a heart of faith, thinking: Alala, how wonderful! To protect the truth without fear of death. Then the prince said: I am happy because I found and offered good speech, remembering your kindness.

No! Now that I have come here, take whatever you want! The Rakshasa said: It is still early for me to eat you, for now, speak well, I want to hear you expound. The Bodhisattva said: You are so cruel and without compassion, temporarily becoming like this just for the sake of your stomach, these verses only expound the Dharma, Dharma and non-Dharma are incompatible, even if it is a Rakshasa, what is the use of indicating the holy path in a bad way? The Rakshasa mocked him, and he replied: Kings cruelly kill fawns for fun, similarly, killing people for survival is against the Dharma, but killing deer is not against it? The Bodhisattva said: Those who kill deer are also not abiding in the Dharma, but eating human flesh is even worse than that, people of high caste should not eat human flesh, although he mocked with harsh words, the Bodhisattva suppressed his anger with the power of loving-kindness, and as if hearing his words, he smiled and said: I let you go, let you go home to enjoy the king's happiness, and then come back to me, are you not proficient in the principles of Dharma? The Bodhisattva said: I am not attached to immediate happiness, abandoning the bad principles of only protecting myself, coming here to protect the truth, this is being proficient in the principles of Dharma, this principle is not contrary to fame and the meaning of truth, bad principles are contrary, and those who abide in them will fall into evil realms after death. The Rakshasa said: Abandoning the poor life and family full of tears, and the happiness of the kingdom, what meaning do you see in the words of truth that you come here? The Bodhisattva said: Truth has many special virtues, to put it simply, among all decorations, truth is the most supreme, among all tastes, the words of truth are the sweetest. Even without performing asceticism and other afflictions, one can accumulate merit, and the fame that pervades all beings will increase. Truth is the path that transcends the three realms, it is also the gate to enter the heavenly realms, and it is also the bridge to escape from the mire of samsara. He said
