The king said, "Great ascetic, when you came yesterday, didn't you say to add this kind of food?" The ascetic said, "Yesterday I came after fasting for a day. Who told you to do this? You have insulted me like this, I will make you eat only human flesh for twelve years!" After saying that, he left. Then one day, the king's cook couldn't get any meat, and happened to find a child's corpse. He cut off the hand of the corpse, made it into a dish, added various seasonings, and offered it to the king. After the king ate it, he found it more delicious than the previous meat, and asked, "What kind of meat is this?" The cook was afraid and lowered his head, saying, "If you don't blame me, I will tell you the truth." The king said, "Tell me the truth, I won't blame you." The cook said, "I couldn't find any other meat for a while, so I found the corpse of a small child who had died prematurely, made it into a dish and offered it to you, please let the king know." The king said, "This meat is particularly delicious, make this kind of meat from now on." The cook said, "I'm afraid I won't be able to find anything like this in the future." The king said, "In the future, you must do it secretly, don't let others notice, I will take care of everything." The cook secretly stole children at night, killed them and made them into dishes. At that time, most of the people in the city were crying and shouting that their children were lost, and the ministers gathered together to discuss, "What should we do?" After discussing, they lit torches at the crossroads at night, and as a result, the king's cook was caught stealing children. The cook offered (the human meat) to the king and reported, "So many children have been lost before and after." But the king didn't say anything. Like that three times.

At that time, the king made a firm resolution in his mind, saying, "By the power of all the good deeds I have done in the past, and by my righteous rule of the country, and by all the merit of my offerings to the ascetics, may I become a Rakshasa who flies in the sky." As soon as he made this aspiration, he rose into the sky and said to the ministers, "You tried to kill me, but my merit has saved me. From now on, you must endure me! I will devour all your wives and beloved children." Having said this, he flew away and landed on a mountain. From then on, he no longer ate human flesh.
