་འདིས་བདག་ཁྲིད་དེ་དགྲའི་དྲུང་དུ་སོང་ན་དེས་འདི་ལ་ནོར་གྱི་ཕུང་པོ་སྦྱིན་པར་འགྱུར་རོ་སྙམ་ནས། བྲམ་ཟེ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་གཟུ་ལུམ་མ་བྱེད་ཅིག་དང་། ངས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་དབུལ་བ་བསལ་བར་བྱའོ། །བྲམ་ཟེ་ཚུར་ཤོག་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ང་ཕྱིན་ཀ་ལོག་ཏུ་དམ་པོར་ཆིངས་ལ། ཉི་འོག་གི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེ་གེ་མོའི་ཐད་དུ་ཁྲིད་དེ་སོང་དང་། དེས་ཁྱོད་ལ་ནོར་གྱི་ཕུང་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་སྦྱིན་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །བྲམ་ཟེས་སྨྲས་པ། བདག་ནི་ཁྱོད་ལྟ་བུ་འཆིངས་མི་ཕོད་དོ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་སྨྲས་པ། ཐེ་ཚོམ་མ་བྱེད་པར་ཆིངས་ཏེ་ཁྲིད་ཅིག །དེ་ལས་ཐབས་གུད་ན་མ་མཐོང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་བྲམ་ཟེ་དེས་དེ་ལྟར་བགྱིས་ཏེ་བཱ་རཱ་ཎ་སཱིར་རྒྱལ་པོ་དེའི་ཐད་དུ་དོང་བ་དང་། སྐྱེ་བོ་མང་པོ་དག་གིས་དེ་མཐོང་ནས་ངོ་ཤེས་ཏེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་གསོལ་ཏེ། དེ་ལ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཡིད་མ་ཆེས་ནས་ཆེད་གཏད་དུ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་དྲུང་དུ་སོང་བས། བྲམ་ཟེ་དེས་དེ་ལྟར་ཁྲིད་པ་མཐོང་ནས་ཁྱོད་འདི་ག་ལས་ཁྲིད། བྲམ་ཟེས་སྨྲས་པ། འདི་ནི་ལྷའི་དགྲ་སྟེ། བདག་གིས་དཀའ་ཐུབ་ཀྱི་ནགས་ན་གནས་པ་མཐུས་བཟུང་ནས་ཁྲིད་དེ་མཆིས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོས་བསམ་པ། འདི་ནི་ལུས་སྟོབས་ཆེ་ལ། བྲམ་ཟེ་ལུས་ཞན་པས་འདིས་འདི་བཟུང་མི་ནུས་ཀྱི། འདི་ནི་སྙིང་རྗེ་ཆེ་བས་བདག་བཅིང་དུ་བཅུག་ནས་འདི་ལ་བྱིན་པར་གོར་མ་ཆག་སྙམ་དུ། བྲམ་ཟེ་དེ་ལ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་ལྟར་གཟུང་བ་དྲང་པོར་སྨྲོས་ཞེས་བྱས་པས། བྲམ་ཟེ་དེས་ཇི་ལྟར་གྱུར་པ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་བསྙད་པར་བྱས་སོ། །དེ་ཐོས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་རྒྱལ་པོ་དེ་དད་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ་སེམས་ཅན་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་ལ་བདག་གིས་གནོད་པར་བྱས་སོ་སྙམ་ནས། བཅིང་བ་རང་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་བཀྲོལ་ཏེ། རྒྱལ་པོའི་ཕོ་བྲང་དུ་སྤྱན་དྲངས་ཤིང་ཡན་ལག་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་འཁྱུད་ནས་སེང་གེའི་ཁྲི་ལ་བཞག་པ་ལ། རང་གི་ཅོད་པན་གྱི་ཐོད་ཕུད་དེ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་དབུ་ལ་བཏགས་ནས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་ནི་རྒྱལ་པོའི་འོས་ལགས་ཀྱི། བདག་ནི་འོས་མ་ལགས་སོ་ཞེས་བྱས་ནས། དེས་དེ་ལ་དཔུང་གི་ཚོགས་དང་དཀོར་མཛོད་རྣམས་ཕུལ་ནས་བཟོད་པར་གསོལ་ཏེ་རང་གི་ཡུལ་དུ་སོང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་དབང་ཆེན་སྡེས་བྲམ་ཟེ་དེ་ལ་ནོར་གྱི་ཕུང་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་བྱིན་ནས་དགེ་བཅུའི་ལམ་ལ་གནས་པར་བྱས་སོ། །ཕྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་སངས་རྒྱས་ནས། གཉན་ཡོད་དུ་བཞུགས་པ་ན། བྲམ་ཟེའི་བུ་བྲམ་ཟེའི་བསླབ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་མཁས་པར་གྱུར་པ་ཞིག་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ལུགས་ཀྱིས་ལོ་བཞི་བཅུ་རྩ་བརྒྱད་དུ་ཚངས་པར་སྤྱད་ནས། དེའི་འོག་ཏུ་

Thinking, "If he leads me to the enemy, he will give me a pile of treasures," he said to the Brahmin, "Do not be partial, and I will eliminate your poverty." Brahmin, come here, you bind me tightly in shackles, and then take me to such and such a king under the sun, and he will give you a great pile of treasures." The Brahmin said, "I dare not bind someone like you." The Bodhisattva said, "Do not hesitate, bind and take me! I see no other way than that." Then, that Brahmin did so and went to that king in Varanasi (modern Varanasi). Many people saw him, recognized him, and told the king. The king did not believe it, so he went specifically to the Bodhisattva, and seeing the Brahmin leading him like that, he asked, "Why are you leading him like this?" The Brahmin said, "This is the enemy of the gods. I have seized him by the power of asceticism, dwelling in the forest, and I am leading him." The king thought, "He is tall and strong, but the Brahmin is weak, so he cannot seize him. He must have allowed me to bind him out of compassion, and then give him something." So he asked the Brahmin, "How did you seize him? Tell me the truth." That Brahmin told the king what had happened. As soon as he heard that, the king immediately developed faith, thinking, "I have harmed such a being." He himself untied the bonds, invited him to the king's palace, embraced him with all his limbs, and placed him on the lion throne. He placed his own crown on the Bodhisattva's head and said, "You are fit to be king, but I am not fit." Then, he offered him the assembly of troops and the treasuries, asked for forgiveness, and returned to his own country. After that, King Great Power gave the Brahmin a great pile of treasures and made him abide in the path of the ten virtues. Later, when the Bhagavan Buddha became enlightened and was dwelling in Jeta Grove, a Brahmin's son, who was skilled in all the Brahmin's teachings, lived purely in the Brahmin's way for forty-eight years.
