If one does not abandon the habitual tendencies after crossing over, it is said that the belief in true existence will arise again. Therefore, refuting by saying that even an Arhat will have a belief in true existence is definitely a seeming refutation. In the ṭīkā (Sanskrit, Roman transliteration: ṭīkā, Chinese literal meaning: commentary), it says, "If one does not abandon the habitual tendencies, it will arise again." It does not add "the belief in true existence will arise," but it fabricates falsehoods out of thin air, what is the use of that? Because it is being argued that even Arhats have not abandoned the arising of the mind-made body, to throw the blame of the arising of the belief in the true existence of a person (Sanskrit, Roman transliteration: pudgala, Chinese literal meaning: person) onto an Arhat is to impose one's own faults on others. Not only that, although those Arhats do not take birth in samsara due to the power of afflictions, because they have not abandoned the habitual tendencies of dualistic appearance, the arising of the mind-made body will not be obstructed. Also, you previously explained that the belief in true existence has not been abandoned. After that, to add it to an Arhat and say it is an unbearable attitude. Previously, the Hinayana proponents, those with manifest pride, in order to refute emptiness, argued that one cannot attain nirvana until one realizes the subtle selflessness of the emptiness of the nature of a person. Afterwards, they also said that even if one attains an inferior nirvana, one still needs to enter the Mahayana, because the stream of consciousness will not be cut off as you wish, ultimately arguing for the One Vehicle, which is very relevant and meaningful, and is the view of the great chariot masters, so there is no fault of contradiction between the former and the latter, but to speak arbitrarily without any logical basis is not appropriate for those who are called wise. Also, in the debate letter, in your ṭīkā (Sanskrit, Roman transliteration: ṭīkā, Chinese literal meaning: commentary), it says, "Even if one knows that there is no permanent, single, independent one, one will not abandon the subtle ego-grasping." This is too irrelevant. Because the opponent believes that ego-grasping can be abandoned through that path, not by distinguishing between coarse and subtle to abandon it. As the Three Wheels Sutra says, "This is a vajra rock mountain." It is certain that there is no answer, and "a hundred prohibitions have also been placed on the mouth." Therefore, the meaning of that sentence is that by meditating on the coarse selflessness, one can abandon the coarse manifest afflictions, but you have admitted that the subtle ones have not been abandoned. You yourself do not know what kind of path of reasoning you are on, yet you are still commenting on the wise men of the new and old Kadam and Kagyu schools.

You, the seeker, are a great drunkard, please allow yourself to engage in the work of debate. In short, please keep in mind the subtle and gross ego-grasping. It should be understood that for the discussions in the scriptures about whether to abandon afflictions, and whether to have afflictions, it is necessary to combine the perspectives of gross or manifestation to understand their differences. Otherwise, the Fifth Dalai Lama once taught: When studying and contemplating, if one cannot refute examples, then please put aside the distractions of doubt and finger-counting, and focus on the samadhi of inanimate explanations. I think this is the most profound teaching. Because you are a friendly partner in debating with all the wise people in the world, I also offer heartfelt advice. Haha! Please rise, wise ones, wake up from the bed of samadhi! Look, the lion of reason soars on the snowy mountains! Please briefly admire the surrounding scenery of the silver snow mountains! Where has the deep-rooted warmth and the almsgiving of conceptualization fled? Hehe! Drowning in the perilous waters of permanence and annihilation, bound by the deceptive ropes of manifold reason, oppressed by mountains of thousands of errors, imprisoned by the unchanging vajra seal. Thus it is said, for this arrogant speech, the order of response will be shown. If the so-called "three wheels" must be something that cannot be hit by any correct answer, then it is amazing to praise such excessive words like a vajra rock, and to give praise of giving a hundred silences, etc. The opponent only wants to abandon ego-grasping by realizing the selflessness of permanence, singularity, and independence, even if it is not distinguished between subtle and gross to abandon it. However, if because the path of reason throws the fault that the path cannot abandon subtle ego-grasping, and the opponent makes that fault irrelevant simply because he did not distinguish between subtle and gross, then the fault you throw that by practicing the path with true aspects said in the Abhidharma, only gross manifest afflictions can be abandoned, will also become irrelevant. Because the opponent wants to abandon ego-grasping through that path, rather than distinguishing between subtle, gross, manifestation, and seed to abandon it. The vajra rock and giving a hundred silences, and the verses of hahaha hehe, etc., should also be returned.
